Is goaltending already a major concern for Edmonton?

It was last year, and it's worse this year. Him and skinner drop to their knees faster then monks at prayer time. The Oiler D is not good right now, and I don't think it's near contender at it's best, with the players they have now. Ouch…
That, among several other pressing matters, namely, competent defencemen and effective systems.
But it's not so much that Jack Campbell is a bad goaltender (he is), but it's the fact that Ken Holland gave the man 5 million and the fans chased out Miko Koskinen, who they probably could've got for 2 million if they asked nicely.
The defense was so out of position on so many, and there were some bounces that don’t happen at that rate. Sure they can be better, but oilers have a lot of cleaning up to do
They've got to give the net to Skinner… and better do it quick! NHL shooters tend to figure out Goalies very quickly… and it you don't give em the net to then shore up those holes… then you risk dumping your Goalies confidence in the dump… and he'll always seems a step behind when facing Grade A scoring opportunities!!
The Oilers are in Win now mode… that's why I was grimacing when Skinner signed that team friendly deal: I was like Bro they'll throw you to the trash if you're not good enough… and u just got in the league… so you might not have enough time to figure out these snipers before you're next deal… so take the $$$ now since they need u now! But hey I just hope he's decent enough to stay in the league!!

seems a pretty good assessment – Holland is making lots of 'lazy' mistakes based on hopes the load on McD is just too large; signing Bouchard for $8mil vs trading when had chance, McLeod $4.2m … Campbell $25mil etc etc… it catches up. Nice to be 'friends' w players… but ultimately do need value contracts.. or end up w players being overrated due to McD-PP inflating player values when 'winning' is based on players that outplay their pay Go Oilers
These 2 Jokers need to be held to accounts later in season when teams come into form…. I thought better of Button, Onrait has always been a Clown and since returning and getting single attention has just got worse
