Honestly I’m OK with it, yeah blowing the lead sucks, but if Auston Matthews has the score a Hattrick for the leafs to beat the Canadiens, it’s gonna be a great year
That goal at 1:26 was genius. Happy to see him sign as well. Especially when he can school a goalie like that in the NHL.
Was a fun game to watch for sure but a very sloppy game as well

Matthews can score a hundred goals this season…we all know what happens to the Leafs come playoff time….this franchise has absolutely no interest in becoming a Stanley Cup contender….why would they when the revenues are astronomical with their delusional fan base and media fan boys hyping every move they make?

The core showed up and Matthews had the majority of that input; however, the star of the game was actually Sheldon Keefe. Sheldon first contribution was calling the coaches challenge at the 3-0 mark. His second contribution was pulling Samsonov down 2 with over 4 and a half minutes remaining in the 3rd. His third contribution was a face-off decision during the over-time, the center was only out for only the face-off, win the face-off, gain possession, leave the ice…and the 4th and final contribution was the players chosen for the shoot-out. Reaves looks awesome, but I am not entirely sold on Domi and Bertuzzi yet. Did ya' notice 'Tree' taking notes?
2nd goal was brutal to let in by Jake Allen and the first was a lucky bounce right on to his tape. I didn't think he was that great aside from a couple good plays in OT.
