NHL players have become sensitive to everything, it's been a contact sport for over 100 years, keep the emotion, but FFS, enough with the inability to take a hit or watch a teammate get hit LEGALLY, a little resilience and tolerance ! Absolutely, you need to stick up and defend your teammates when the hit is dirty and disrespectful, but this is getting a little ridiculous!
To all those saying clean hit, clean hit, why retaliate? The players don't care if it's a clean hit (sure it's better than a dirty hit), but you can still injury somebody with a clean hit. If they don't retaliate it will just embolden the other team to keep laying into them. With the risk of retaliation comes a lower chance players will lay into somebody like that, they don't want to skate around with a target on their back.
Not saying it's right that they go after somebody who delivered a clean hit, just explaining why.
