I have liked this kid from the start. We ask too much of young kids at the start of their careers. A good start for him and now build on it.

Everyone has been so hard on him. He’s only 22. What were any of us doing at that age? Not playing professional hockey like Alexis is. He’s going to hit his stride this year but next year is the year. Patience everyone.

A week ago the media and many fans were so down on this guy, the Rangers internet was abuzz about what thin ice he was on after the preseason. One good game into the season and it is all pats on the back. I think Laf can break through if he sees top line minutes and I think we have a coach who will give a LONG look at how to integrate the young up-and-comers into the top lines/pairings. LGR!
Who knew giving consistency and not in the bottom 6 would do wonders for him.
