   The NHL is not a developmental league.
   Holtz never earned his spot. He was gifted his spot, being put in the very best chance to succeed, all in the HOPE he develops.
   Mercer is clearly top 6. Mercer gets punished due his 5-tool diversity skill set much like when he got rotated out of the hottest line in hockey once Timo came aboard.
   Holtz is lucky to even have a spot on the roster.
   As per Nemec, NJ simply has the flexibility to send him down. Whereas NJ would have had to waive Miller…of which…he would not have cleared.
