Welcome to Montreal
15th draft pick you say? More like 3rd. Welcome to Montreal kid.
Like if you're watching this on draft day.
But Zadina ….
Welcome to Montreal Jesperi! So thrilled with the pick 😀
GHG
Crazy to think I’m 21 cheering for 17 year olds hahah
Welcome to montreal can’t wait til he’s in the chel
This man is gonna be a 40 point per seasoner for life. And to know he went 3rd overall tisk tisk. Guy is slow as fuck
Too early to tell if Kotkaniemi at 17 will become a #1 center , but guaranteed a top 6 solid 2 way center. Kids from Europe are better defensive players and we need a center that we can rely on in our zone. He creates alot of turnovers and good playmaker off the rush . As a habs fan im super happy with this pick and i think he is more valuable than Zadina because its easy to trade for a scoring winger, but top centers you either draft them or dream about them
Horseshitty Cocaleekie on his way to fuck the Habs organization! Yeah baby!
Welcome to Montreal this is a beast
Welcome to Montreal, it's safe to say you won't have number 31… Ole ole ole oleeee.
Two way centre that put up similar points to Patrick Laine in the same league.
nice early picks folks! as a Montreal #sonofaFinn i am estatic – a quality player for years to come plus speedy winger Ylonen plus 6 more centres! Molson put his foot down and said draft f–cking centres.
Welcome to Montréal! Can't wait to see him and Ylonen
Only habs fan would cry over drafting a top 5 center over a top 5 winger. Get over zadina already and embrace your new player
If Montrèal trades him. My goodness they do bad trades most of the times.
Great pick by Habs.
The number one centre that we dream of from about twenty years.
Reminds me of Bobby Smith.
if he doesn't play this 2018-19 season, montreal is gonna get 1st draft pick next year, while PK subban picks up another 60 pts and old man webber nurses his injuries.
I really wanted filip zadina but I guess our hopes are now on this guy…Im anxious to see what he can do tomorrow
lots of people saying the habs shouldn’t’ve drafted that kid #3 but that’s montreal to you, never happy with the organization… if we would’ve drafted zadina, others would’ve said mtl doesn’t focus on rebuilding and drafts for players not needs… I say let’s give the kid a chance, he’s only 17 and already has nice assets, good shot, nice hands, good hockey vision… he has to work on his skating a little, but there’s a lot of potential if we don’t screw this up we might actually have centers with him and Poehling who knows he might even be #1 center… we just have to give him a chance is all
He had an ACL injury before the last season, which explains some of his skating moves lol
The guy seems like a pretty good playmaker with some good goal scoring finish. I am looking forward to seeing him in Montreal. They have needed a strong centre for a while hopefully Kotkaniemi will be that.
Thx for the vid. Enjoyed hearing the pbp and the interviews instead of music.
Pierre luc dubois 2.0 ?
Possibly the most over hyped Hab player ever. And I've been a Canadiens fan for over 40 years! Look. This guy is not the second coming of the Finnish Flash Teemu Selanne who had 76 goals his first year in the NHL! Right now Jesperi has 11 goals in 65 games. Take a chill pill people. Long term I think he may have some 30 goal seasons, but I don't see him scoring like Lafleur. It would be nice to see him get increasingly prolific as was the case with Steve Shutt. 1st year -8 goals, 2nd year -15 goals, 3rd -30 goals, 4th year -45 goals, 5th year -60 goals! Now that's progress.
Montreal love you
Complete bust. Teams need to stop drafting Finnish players. They all fucking suck!
Welcome to Carolina
This guy looks like he might become a complete and utter bust in the NHL..
