Tonight is going to be interesting. The two best players in the world are absolutely pissed and it’s their home opener. Last year’s Canucks would get absolutely decimated tonight, but I’m interested to see if this group can hold the fort

clearly means that he is potting 8 goals

Even if we don’t win tonight, I’ll still be happy if we win battles and jump on loose pucks as well as we did on Wednesday

As much as I want Boeser’s line to keep up their scoring ways, I feel as though we will need Demko to be the star in this one for the W.
Getting the first goal or 2 will be important in their home opener

Still leading the league in goals as well

Tocchet seems to have the group dialed in. Oilers are out coached and soft, and are weak in net.

The Canucks have no pressure on them, it’s going to be the most watched game of the early season because people outside the Canucks fan base want to see how the Oilers react, they aren’t assuming the Canucks might have any control over the outcome.

A Canucks win here would set the eastern hockey media on their ear a bit.. So Go Canucks Go …

If we can stay out of the box we have a decent chance. Can’t go around giving that powerplay like three or four opportunities a night.
