  1. Oilers are one injury away from missing the playoffs and I thought that before Wednesday. Everyone hyping this team are delusional.

  2. Garland needs to go. He cant successfully forecheck. Cant win most puck battles. Can get overpowered by any player in the league. His only value is that he can make a good pass and can set up plays. We have enough better players that can do what he does. We need bigger bodied players that can win battles and get pucks to our skilled players

  3. It was 1 game. The Oilers came out flat, and the Canucks came out ready. If the Oilers turn around and hammer the Canucks 8-1, then this will all be forgotten, and the Canucks will be trash again. The Canucks have to follow that up. Any kind of win would be awesome. But the Oilers have heard the press. They know what's being said. They are going to come out looking to make a statement.

  4. I dont understand how people consider the oilers cup favourites. Outside of two guys they arent all that talented. Goaltending isnt great, blueline isnt great and as a whole they dont play well defensively. Yeah they can make a push but I just can't imagine that team will lift the cup

  5. Great point by Drance on we can look at Wednesday's game and say it represented more for the Canucks then it did for the Oilers by comparing Penguins Opening game losing 10 nothing after they just won the Cup, but still won the Cup again that yr. I can understand after that game we can say Canucks are looking better than last yr(even tho it's just 1 game) but we can't judge the Oilers and say oh my and this is a Stanley Cup contender ? Bottom line is it really is just 1 game fellas so….just feel good for now as a Canucks fan(because i certianly am enjoying it now) but don't go jumping to conclusions thinking yeah the Oilers are a fraud.

  6. Gotta say, the Delaney boys are great guys too. Definitely do your winter tires with them if you live in the area.

  7. Kudos the Drance, telling it like it is. Finally someone that is bringing the numbers on Christmas and pointing out as i have the last couple of years that Christmas is earning his pay from a production stand point. On top of that he is abrasive and is hard to play against. Hopefully some respect for Garland will go a long way to make him more comfortable. He is a good player and i would not be trying to trade him. I feel the same way for Boeser, who will have a career year this year, although he has been over paid in past years so he is a bit over paid. Being a very emotional guy it has taken him a while to get over his fathers illness and consequent death. Dukey was looking down on the Brockstar on opening night and giving the team and Brock a little angel energy, and he looks like he is going to tear it up this year.

  8. Very good points by Drance, the market has been gripping the stick with Brock, he was given the 'opportunity to facilitate a trade. He's obviously worked hard in the offseason, Quinn seems to bring a new element to his game every offseason. That's ''Lightning in a bottle' stuff.

  9. If anyone gets traded it’s gonna be Beauvillier. His contract is expiring and that’s value to some of the bottom feeders.

  10. Garland isn’t overpaid. He’s just not underpaid which is what we need on the wings. Young guys performing better than their pay level.

  11. I might be the only one here but I don't see the Oilers winning the Stanley Cup. They need goaltending and defense.

  12. The funniest part was when he was interviewing the players if it was a statement game to confirm his headline and they all denied him haha
