Switching hands is a hugely underrated strategy in hockey fighting. Every time I see someone get the main arm tied up and switch hands it works. Tamer on Probert, Letang on Timonen, Tkachuk on Marino, definitely more…
When you fight over 200 fights you’re bound to lose eventually. One lucky shot and you’re done. Probert looked exhausted before this fight even began. He is the toughest NHL player I have ever seen though, RIP.
Huge Probert fan… However, by this stage of his career his best days were definitely behind him. He looked disinterested, tired and slow. Maybe all the substance abuse was starting to catch up with him also. RIP Bob!
The great Red Wings with PROBIE were the toughest ever and always whipped up on shitcago. PROBIE was washed up in shitcago. PROBIE Heavyweight Champion of all time!
Has to be a American announceers who said this was a TKO, it was nowhere near a TKO , Probert lost his balance, only Canadian acconoucers would know this and Canadian fans because we know our hockey and we know about fighting on skates..people who never fought in there lives don't know shit when it comes to hockey fights, Tanner was hanging on for dear life during that scrimmage….
Ok a lot of fan boys coming n with some excuses for Probie, prob top 5 toughest guys in the NHL but he does not need excuses, you win you lose, everyone gets caught, he got caught fair n square like he caught others, he would prob hate the excuses lol, good one i saw live was him vs Brent Severn at Reunion arena vs the Stars, Sevvy put him against the boards and appeared to tune him up pretty good, Severn came out with a concussion lol. The Probe is a beast.
One of Bobby's rare fights where the other guy wanted it more & it showed. Never be the last guy to realize your in a hockey fight, usually end up breathing funny out of what's left of your nose. Good on Tamer for climbing Mt.Everest and leaving with a fully intact grill. #FacePeriod
How about putting a little respect on Tamer’s name? An American kid, spent four years in Ann Arbor playing the college game for Michigan; he sure didn’t get a chance to practice his scrap game there.
Probie (God rest him) was always the best but the stones it took to give him a go even at this point in his career shouldn’t be disregarded.
Tamer got lucky here- one can see Probert is out of breath. Because he was occasionally human doesn’t mean he wasn’t the best & EVERYONE who ever fought him called him the best. He proved it over 250+ fights. No one had a better record. I don’t ever hear or see Tamer being called the best at anything.

Tamer is a good name for one of the few guys to ever tag Probert. Like a Lion tamer haha
Probert could only fight with his sweater off. Sweater on and he’s a punching bag.
This is before my time..
Bob did look a little old and worn out.
Trying fightiing Probie in his prime Tamer. Your career would have ended in seconds! 😂
The rematch was pretty one sided. Probert was ready and Tamer got his ass handed to him. Probie was king!
Probert is not good fighter in final career years .
Probert was high or on a binge or coming down because that's not how Probert usually is.
Probert did not want to fight, you can tell from his demeanor.

Tamer wouldn't have done this while Probert was in his prime.

Now i have to watch some Hatcher Maulings, i miss goons, but Hathcer was a great D man.
Probe in his prime would have destroyed this wanna be!
Probert looked uninterested in this fight. Had his hands down for some reason
Low motivation for Bob in this one
Lol where was the TKO it didn't happen.

He looked gassed before the fight was even finished
Since Probert took took out his first goalie, I lost all respect for the guy.
