  1. I'm glad he's playing well and losing bad habits for good ones. That said, it's a long season and he has to keep improving but I'm sure he will. The kid's doing great so far.

  2. I must say that Toronto crowd is one of the quietest worst crowds I've ever seen. I also went to the Montreal Toronto pre season game and it was so much louder than this game probably cuz the cheapest tickets for this game was like 300 dollars(for nose bleeds) so it was just filled with suits who don't care about hockey at all.

  3. It was the best game i ever seen Slaf play! But it was one game, Ryan Poehling had a hat trick in his very first game, But where is he now?

  4. Great video! a lot of fans (MTL in this case) don't see the game & don't understand development of young player the way it should be. They only see #1pick = 1st year 30 goals! He was only 18 last season, he is 19 this season and you can see already progress. It takes time and patience. In few years he will be 1st line dominant player – deciding games. I just hope it will be still in Montreal.

  5. Different beast? It's one game… If he can do all this stuff consistently then I'll believe that he's different. For now, he still has work to do.

  6. In 2-3 years he will be a beast, when he learn to turn his back and play the puck and win all the battles 50-50 for the puck. Already has big as ovie

  7. I really hope they keep that line of Slaf, Dach and Newhook together. I think a big thing with Slaf last year was he had a hard time adjusting to the smaller ice surface. Hopefully he keeps training with Anderson as well to use his size and strength more effectively. Great analysis and video!

  8. If he continues to improve at this pace and doesn't get injured, he will become one of the best NHL players in 3-5 years

  9. How could anybody with a modicum of hockey knowledge conclude – after half a season at 18 y.o. – that Slaf was a bust? This is so ridiculous.

  10. Great analysis! I think it would be even better if you mixed in some older clips of Slafkovsky that show the difference between then and now if you do another one of these in the future.

  11. The guy is certainly talented but he can't keep his head up he will be injured soon and I hope I'm wrong

  12. Great video, one little change, I would make is to try to minimize the amount of breathing in that gets picked up, because we can hear it slightly after every sentence. But your analysis is great.
