Crazy ending. Had a lot of chances to tie it up in the third. Looking forward to the next one!
Love the fight they had down 3-0 in the 3rd… fought to the end. Have to figure out the PP.
I just wanted to see a replay of the shot off the post at the end
We need Hall back
Who’s on the post game with Pat and Caeley? Can’t place a name to the face I know it was a player
* Dach left the game with a lower-body injury after Tinordi hit him into the Hawks’ bench.
* The Hawks’ PP is 0-for-14 to start the season. They went 0-for-7 tonight, failed to convert on a 45-second 5-on-3 opportunity, and allowed a SHG tonight. However, their PK is 7-for-7.
* T. Johnson scored twice from in front of the net: the first off a puck ricochetting through the defenseman’s legs, the second off a loose puck.
* The Hawks won 12-of-48 (25%) faceoffs tonight.
* Bedard led the team with 12 shot attempts and 11 scoring chances. Reichel (6) had more shots on goal than Bedard (5).
With how many penalties this team generates, we’d be at least a bubble team if they ever figured out how to score on the powerplay.
Well bedard got a point and dach got obliterated… I’d say that’s a pretty good night
Bedard keeps his point streak and points per game pace alive (anyone know the longest point streak to start a career?) all while we lose in regulation and no injuries. Solid night
We need Seth jones to be fired into the fucking sun
I feel like the biggest thing for this team right now that needs to be figured out is the power play. There are definitely other painful parts, but the pp was abysmal this game
Hard fought losses will be a theme again this year, I think.
You know what is getting “old” already? The fucking Old National Ads on NBC Sports Chicago. At least the past years there was some variety.
We looked OK. First game where I really think we looked like what I expected to, a bottom team.
Korchinski had some big lapses tonight defensively but is improving and looked good to me overall. His movement is great.
Bedard looked good, he needs to figure out timing and spacing on the shot and we will start burying.
PP looks stale already, feed Bedard basically, and I get that has to be the plan but I think Korchinski in for Jones will add a lot of movement at the line vs jones is stagnant and blasts.
Jones… well by the stat sheet decent game, he did have a couple nice plays but oh boy that was his worst game in my opinion. Blunders, trying to do much just overall pretty bad to me.
Reichels worst game too I think, barely noticed him for a guy i was super high on. Again give up 2C and give it to TyJo and move him up, at least to see and maybe for a confident boost.
Mrazek played really well again, nice to see.
Rest of the team was pretty meh
