The Chicago Blackhawks didn’t put their best foot forward in a loss to the Montreal Canadiens Saturday night. The team was held scoreless until two 3rd period goals from Tyler Johnson while the Canadiens dominated shot attempts, faceoffs and even added a shorthanded goal. The Hawks nearly flipped the narrative with a spirited final few minutes, but they couldn’t find the game-tying goal. Reichel is showing after each passing game that he is not a center. Looked much better on the wing last season
Entwhistle needs to play instead of Johnson. Also…. didn't A.A. win most of his faceoffs last year when he played center?
They need to give up on reichel being a center. Think of the guys they have who can be in the middle. Bedard, Kurashev, Reichel, Oliver Moore, Nazar. I’m sure I’m missing a few. But those are all guys who could be top 6 guys. A few of them would have to move to the wing.
Jeez guys, we can't sit here after the first game and say how well they played and temper the excitement by saying "this is a young team and they GOING to have bad nights" then turn around after one of those bad nights and go so over the top. If they make this a HABIT? Yeah. But let's take it easy here.

Tough loss on the road. The face offs were terrible. Connor hasn’t done well with face off. They played a tough Montreal team. Running into each other was terrible to see offensively. Hopefully come out Monday with different mindset because they will get blown out against Toronto maple leafs if they don’t. Go Hawks
We shouldn't look at this team (or judge this team) as if they have arrived. This rebuild is in its infancy. We must be patient and consistent, and trust the process. In time the players that we have invested our resources in will show up. Right now we are still very much in the building phase. This is far from a finished product.
to me as a new blackhawks fan I think this team is young but man I am so dissapointed first off the faceoffs terrible we can not win games when we are currently the bottom of the barrel in faceoff percentage and lets be honest the mentality of this team is so awful. I understand that Johnson and bedard gave us a chance but my god we were as flat as tires during Chicago winters. STOP BEING SOFT AND GET TO THE NET. when u go to the net good things happen and we dont have the courage to go to the net right now. WE BETTER HAVE SOME HEART AND COURAGE real quick because this is dispicable
To me I think y’all are underestimating the Canadiens. Not saying that we played well we definitely didn’t but the Canadiens maybe aren’t quite a playoff team but they are going to be way better than people think.
I agree the faceoffs have been terrible but at the same time we got to give them time to develop for them to get better. It will come just give it time
