I switched to the Calgary broadcast after the 1st period. Honestly a great broadcast! I’ll watch it again next match up.

Kuemps brought the dad energy to bail out the guys who decided to not play half a game today
The old men need a few games to get back in shape. Had it the whole time. Kuemper and goalpost for mvp.
Kuemper is going to have some back pain after carrying that one.
I don’t feel too optimistic about this roster. It’s more or less the same group that hasn’t been able to get it done since the cup run, but older and slower. I hope I’m wrong.
Ovi is having a tough one. Hopefully his effort level improves a bit

Positive Takeaways:
1. Kuemper was great tonight. Based off the offensive output for the first two games, Darcy may need to make that his new standard if we want a chance at wins.
2. The Milano/Phillips/Strome line looked great. Lost of chemistry in the passing. Keep these guys together.
3. We won the game and are 1-1 on the season with 0 goals from Ovi, Willy, Strome, Oshie, Carlson, etc. I doubt those guys will go long without scoring, so they’re due.
4. The PK looked relaly good. Glad to see that we cleaned that up after game 1.
Overall, I don’t think any of us would say it was a convincing win, but a win’s a win and I think there’s some positives to take away from the game.
A few years ago, I wanted to see ovi break the record and then play one more season as a victory lap. Time changes things, I guess.
