    I don’t get this outrage

Kuznetsov is doing whatever he can to try and score here and help his team win. There is no rule against it, and if it was so easy EVERY single player would approach the shootout like this

That’s such a dumb old man take. Its the shoot out. Go into it with as much or as little speed as you want.

Anyone who’s mad about this is just salty. If Huberdeau went out and pulled this off we’d all be praising it.

I thought shootout was supposed to be anything you can do on a breakaway. IMO this is pushing the limit. But w/e get rid of the shootout in general.

Just put the puck on a dot in front of the goalie and have the player take a shot instead. Soccer penalties style.

  6. Shootouts are not hockey. Trick moves deciding games…uhg.

If they are going to have the shootout then stop bitching about what you are and are not supposed to do. Take away the loser point and you will have teams trying to finish the game in regulation.

I don’t see an issue here. What I do see is an issue in 3 on 3 and the last few minutes of tie games. There is no incentive to try and finish the game in 60. Giving a point for a loss of any kind causes the game to slow way down. If teams got 0 points for any loss, 1 point for an OTW/SOW and 2 for a regulation win would incentivize taking chances and finishing the game faster. Constantly turning around and regrouping for 3.5 minutes+ out of 5 is asinine and insanely boring. All it does is eat time which is the opposite of the reason they brought in 3v3 to begin with
