The in-arena pre-game video/song is just terrible.

Was there at opening night. This “Are you ready for the Blues” song is just not good. It does nothing to get the crowd pumped and ready for hockey….. really disappointing to be honest. You have a full year to get something together and that’s what you come up with? I understand that “Blues” music is hard to turn into “pump up” music … but you have to be able to do better than this ….. Here is the song …[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Zko4VSyVa8](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Zko4VSyVa8)

  1. I was extremely excited for it when they announced Marquise Knox was going to be the frontman of the song/video….but the result turned out flat. I put the blame on whoever directed and produced the video, not Knox himself.

I watched it on TV and loved it..i could see how it’s not an arena song though.

I had the exact opposite feeling, that shit is amazing. I dig the vibe, blues music, Blues hockey, and STL. I thought it was on point.

Just hearing/seeing this for the first time… I agree with OP. 5 thumbs down😂

I don’t think it “hypes” anything. Agreed, kinda falls flat.

Seems like people are as torn about this as they are country roads

  7. It’s good from a music standpoint but it’s not a hype/get excited song. Prob best served to play before the first intermission ends. Even the pregame video that played Nickleback (🤮) back in the late 2000s did more to promote excitement for the game.
