Salty Pens fans feel like the game should have been 3-2
First goal was Goaltender interference- no goal
Second goal was a high stick -no goal
Fifth goal was off sides no goal
Penalty wasn’t a penalty therefore no power play – no goal

We’re gonna need a lot more defensively and in transition out of Mo and Walman to make the playoffs this year. And we can’t be on our heels protecting leads in the third.
But this year feels like a lot better start with how we are playing than last year. It feels more sustainable and less hoping Husso carries us to wins. I hope it continues.
16 goals in 3 games. Last year we would have needed to play 8-10 games to hit that.
Imagine how much more better this team would be if they got Karlsson instead of letting a conference rival have all the fun.
Saturday is such a big game.

The same player taking Penalty shots in back to back games feels like an ultra rare thing. Would love to know how many times that has happened before. But as much as I like Andrew Copp, he’s not exactly high on the list of Red Wings that I’d want in that situation
I’m assuming Husso will start one of the back-to-back games this weekend. Do you go with him against OTT or Reimer/Lyon instead?
I don’t mean anything bad by this question, but is Husso the most “boring” goalie in the league. He just seems calm and mellow, never seems to show much. Even his helmet is just a team paint job (love it though). Maybe it just comes off this way because he’s Finnish. Maybe being normal actually makes him one of the more interesting and different goalies though.
Anyone knows when happens when you throw an octopus on the ice? Thinking about throwing one next game I’m at. I don’t want to be kicked out tho haha

Saturday against the sens is gonna be a huge game, but wtf.. a 1pm start? I get why they do early games, but every early game always feels flat. on another note, this is a damn fun team to watch again. same with the lions. detroit on the come up this year

I know the last few seasons the Red Wings have started off hot and then cooled off (21-22 I felt like was around the Olympic break, if not a little before) and last year was obviously right before the trade deadline. But this team already feels different and looks so much better on the ice. It’s nice to see.
I think a lot of people here would characterize me as an unabashed optimist (and those people would be right), but holy jumpin this start is way better than I would have predicted even in full homer mode.
Does anyone know how GR has been looking? How many games have they played? Lines? How’s Kasper looked? Lombardi?? Cant wait for Mazur to play

Noticed a lot of douchey behavior at LCA last night. Maybe because the lower bowl attracts a certain type (I’m more of a 200 level guy meself) but I wonder if there’s gonna be a noticeable uptick in casuals going to games. I don’t want to gatekeep but uhh let’s play a clean game boys, ya know?
I’m very happy that we beat the Pens last night but I really want to beat Ottawa Saturday and show the national media that we’re the dark horse playoff team this year. I hope it’s scrappy and I hope we win definitively.
