NYLANDER FOR JOKIHARJU TRADE (Chicago Blackhawks Taking A MEGA RISK W/ Nylander Trade / Sabres NHL)

The Chicago Blackhawks have traded defenceman Henri Jokiharju to the Buffalo Sabres for forward Alex Nylander. It’s an interesting trade that puts emphasis on the different potentials of these two NHL prospects.

  1. Why Chicago why! We need defense not depth offense! We just got a bunch of depth forwards anyway and have young people like fortin and sikura who have played in the nhl before! Jokiharju could have been a great pair with matta. I just do not understand this trade for the Blackhawks

  2. I watched your 2016 video on Jake Virtanen. Have you come around on him yet? He is finally showing that he can be a very good winger if given the shot. 2014 sucked overall, and now that Willy and Ehlers have lost some of their shine and considered more 1 dimensional, I think it reflects well on Jake and how strong of a to way player he has become.

  3. Might be useful to note that Jokiharju also played on Team Finland at both the World Juniors and World Championship this season and won a gold medal at both. As a 19 year old. Imagine that….

  4. Illinois where cannabis is legal and managerial decisions made by Blackhawk owners are done after consuming said drug. I think Stan is stoned!!!!!!

  5. I'm not saying that, I didn't want to get rid of nylander he's ready this year he's going to come out of a shell this season and score 20 to 30 goals it's going to be crazy I wanted him as a sabre

  6. Look at what buffalo has done .
Look what Vancouver Canucks have done ..I think buffalo might lift the cup first

  7. Good video – only gripe I have is saying Alex Nylander succeeded tremendously in the AHL – he didn't. He showed minor improvements year to year maybe, but never wowed offensively (86 points in 165 AHL games) nor developed into a complete player. He showed flashes of talent but never put it all together and I think that will be the story of his career. I think Chicago isn't exactly crazy to gamble on him – but gambling on him is COMPLETELY different than gambling on Strome. Strome had a much higher draft pedigree (not only did he go higher but came from an incredibly deep and stacked draft) and produced at a PPG in the AHL. Strome's struggles were translating that to the NHL.

I could absolutely see Nylander going to Chicago, getting thrown right into the top 6 and doing very well to start and then just completely tailing off and being out of the league or traded not long after. The excitement of being traded and getting a chance to potentially start for Chicago will improve his effort no doubt. It might carry him for a while, but he lacks consistent effort and has way too many holes in his game for it to go any further than that IMO.

  8. Tremendously succeeded in the ahl? Yeah ok. I guess 30 goals in 165 ahl games in succeeding 😂 nylanders a bust

  9. People comparing Nylander to Strome are disillusioned. Strome was over a ppg in his lone AHL season, nylander has struggled to be a 0.5 ppg player over 3 years in the AHL. Keep in mind the americans were top 3 record wise this past year and top 3 in overall scoring… yet he still couldnt produce even with other forwards and prospects going over a ppg. Nylander was given plenty of chances to play with Eichel and he didnt produce. Eichel showed this year that if you give him wingers who can shoot the puck with any sort of accuracy he can easily be a 80-90+ center. Thus theres no more excuses for Nylander and his Lazy play. Hopefully the change of scenery does him some good, but typically work ethic isnt something that can be improved. You either have it or you dont.

  10. You need more subs man. What do you say at the end of every video? It’s too fast to understand lol

  11. From a betting standpoint I like the over on any puckline next season when Chicago plays another offensive juggernaut.

  12. @legorocks99 … I don't think I tagged that right… anywho, do you think this possibly means chicago is going to attempt a play at William Nylander somehow? This would bring the brothers together, and save Toronto from there cap issue with Marner… what are your thoughts?

  13. Hey LEGO The Canucks and Ferland are closing in on a contract. Can u make a video on it? Love your vids

  14. Difference between Strome and Nylander. Strome dominated his rookie year in the AHL. Nylander has yet to be close to that entering his 4th pro year.

  15. Please stop saying how amazing Joker will be, he played a quarter of a season under q was good then fell out of favour, was it JC who didn't like him or did his game drop off? He went down to Rockford and was no hell at all, sulked most of the time, not saying he won't succeed in Buffalo, but to say they crushed the Hawks in this trade is stupid, neither player has made a mark yet in nhl, rate this trade in a few years.
