Should be this way everywhere. Fuck ticket scalpers.
Edit: apparently everyone has forgot the days where you could only buy tickets from the box office.
falloutgirlxo
Are they being sold directly from ticketmaster? I live in NY but am going to be in Nashville for my birthday and I was able to buy resale tickets from ticketmaster with no issues

Smells like bitch in here.

Nashville has always done this and it’s something the NHL should prevent. Bush League.

With how empty their stands are they should be grateful someone has money for them
Unkle-Cheetoh
Preds have certain “Gold Games” like Saturday games where they restrict sales to local in hopes of filling the arena with Pred fans. I’m a season ticket holder and there are games that we cannot even transfer the tickets. The only option is to attend or donate them.
JDevin25
That’s a dumb ass idea. What they don’t want to make money?
panhandlepred
Out of state Preds fan who gets screwed by this a well. They don’t do this for all games, but the amount of games they do it continues to grow. It sucks, but I can usually buy verified resale tickets, I’ve also had no trouble with Gametime. Just note, they won’t be able to transfer the ticket until 24 hours before the event.
bivo979
I go and watch the Devils when they are in Nashville. Every single time I’ve just walked up to the window at the arena and purchased a ticket while wearing all Devils stuff. Also, there are always scalpers directly across the street selling tickets.
MNGopherfan
I think it is fair to do this when you consider a lot of concerts have been having pricing issues and local fans should come first when buying tickets. It still sucks if you want to go to a game though.
kbergstr
Did you see the Pred’s raise a banner for the first year they refused to sell tickets to out of state viewers?
CleaveIshallnot
Leaf fans invade Ottawa and buffalo when the leafs play them.
Is this an effort to quell the noise of a rival team? Or a attempt to prevent scalping ?
san_murezzan
Non-north american here, does this actually work?
zingding212
Wait… it said “without refunds given” so, they just keep your money? Wtf.
kingoden95
I’ve ran into this issue buying preds tickets while living in Alabama, the only thing you can do is try getting 3rd tier seats or try a different game, maybe you can call the box office but I’ve tried and gotten the same answer.
ptung8
nashville is so insecure for this lol
Over_Reaction281
I totally get this for playoffs, but it is a little surprising for the regular season. We are actually quite lucky that we can have home and away fans in the same sections here in North America. I’ve been to a few soccer games in Europe and South America and the away fans are always surrounded by security guards in their own section.
Puzzleheaded-Lead126
Do they have low ticket sales usually?

Can you just set virtual card with like any billing address?
I can set any address in Revolut and just make virtual card with those details…

Is a loophole Prepaid gift cards?

I feel your struggle. Canadian who loved going to Buffalo to watch some games…same shit is happening with us.

Had this exact scenario back in 2021 when I went to Nashville for a bachelor party. Bachelor is a preds fan and we wanted to take him for the game. Someone was able to help us out despite this message… maybe we were exceptions for our party size of 10, but best bet is to call and see if you can still get to a game.

Carolina did this during the 2021-22 playoffs to keep rangers fans out of the arena

Just buy one of those vanilla gift cards for the exact amount needed then go online and make your billing address in that area.

They started doing this against the Blackhawks because they couldn’t fill their arena with their fans and Chicago fans travel well.

They can’t fill the seats, and per the league’s revenue sharing agreement, part of my home team ticket sales $ goes to support them. And after taking the money I spend at home, they won’t let me spend my own money to help fill their stands. I’ll be nice and not specify anatomically impossible things I wish their management would do to themselves, but I will wish upon them that they go bust and that Betman moves them to Arizona to share a figure skating practice rink w/ the ‘Yotes for a home stadium.

The other side of this, apparently Phillies fans are buying tickets in Arizona so that seats are empty for the games in Phoenix…perhaps the D-Backs should consider similar measures.
schmidthappens555
Not sure, but this seems like the kind of thing that could turn off a lot of fans real fast. Reminds me of when the Blackhawks wouldn’t broadcast home games on TV in the 90s-00s because they wanted people to buy tickets. Problem with that is the product on the ice was some of the worst in sports 😂
