Justin Barron time. I thought he was Ok last year and pretty good in the World Cup. He might just suck at training camps.

My boy Jonny has the best plus minus in the league.

I hope they use some of their prospect capital at defence to get an established guy before this season is over.

Savard is just a stop gap, and if potentially in the next couple seasons both Reinbacher and Hutson might be realistically looking for minutes there aren’t enough minutes to go around for the rest of the young guys in the organization.

Better to move on from a couple of Harris/Barron/Norlinder/Xhekaj/Struble/Trudeau/Beaudin while they have value instead of waiting a couple seasons and they just get claimed on waivers.

Because in a couple of years this team needs to be thinking about playoffs.

Presuming Matheson sticks around, and Guhle isn’t used in a blockbuster acquisition, you need a quality vet guy. And there’s guys who will be available, and for the timeline.
