To force you to watch on the home broadcast (I assume Bally)?
Easy way to get around it is to get Express VPN and then VPN to a state that isn’t your own (for example I go to New Jersey for Eagles games for my wife). Comes in handy to use that same location to get Lightning games when it’s on Bally

Wasn’t this always the way on ESPN+? If you’re in the team’s geographical TV zone you can’t watch it on there. We get the games on ESPN+ in Orlando cause it’s Bolts territory.
