Unpopular opinion, but the NHL should allow players to wear cages/bubbles. I’ve taken a puck to the face before, while wearing a cage, and I was fine. Finished the shift, and continued the rest of the game. Had I not been wearing a cage, I would’ve probably broken my jaw based on where the puck hit me. Seems silly to me that players in the NHL get terrible facial injuries such as broken bones, teeth, etc when a cage or a bubble would’ve prevented it.
