  1. I like the way they didn’t completely quit at the end and that’s about the only positive takeaway from this game I can think of

My two cents after four games: this is the same team, same coaching as last year (which is obvious), and I’m not sure how Lou can expect anything better than a first round exit. It’s sad too, because we’re wasting Nelson’s prime, perhaps Barzy and Bo’s as well, and not to mention the best goalie in the world. Doomers unite. Clear house.

They looked like a men’s league team playing at 10:30 on a Tuesday

I’m really glad we farted one into the net against Eric Comrie. At least Wally and Varly had decent games.

A thoroughly unenjoyable game. Let’s never do that again.

  6. Lambert always looks like a confused caveman that was transported into 2023 moments before the game, groomed by Lou, and then shipped off his own timeline only to be brought back just before the next game.

    Blow it up /s

Not much to take from here, just get the full 2 on Tuesday and all is forgotten

  8. pretty much what I expected on the second game of a back to back against a solid team

Isles blue line is so offensively inept outside of Dobson. It’s pathetic. 9 shots combined the past two games, 6 of them from Dobson. PP is also 1/11 to start, and counting the six playoff games is 2/26. Nobody should be shocked by this since lamoriello ran it back unchanged in every way. Varlamov the reason it wasn’t an outright slaughter tonight.

  10. Every team gets a gimme, right? We can write this one off?

  11. TrevolutionNow

They are on pace for 102.5 points, which is good enough to make the playoffs, fwiw.

Back to back against Devils and Sabres is so evil from the NHL schedule maker. Still doesn’t excuse how the Isles got absolutely dominated after the 1st period
