This isn’t a dig at Sammy at all and I know he’s doing everything to help the team and push himself, but I really feel Woll might be something special!
From Andersen/Campbell to Mrazek/Campbell to Murray/Samsonov to now Samsonov/Woll, it seems the goalie with the higher cap hit always gets outdone by the cheaper guy.
Please hockey gods, I beg we’ve stumbled on a goalie of Carey prices level, please.
That is some high high praise. If Woll is even a half the player of Prime Price that’s a potential Vezina guy right there

Woll has been fantastic. He’s certainly passed the eye test so far. If he continues his play throughout the season we may have something special on our hands.

I mean it’s early in the season and he’s relatively inexperienced. He needs time to grow before we thrust a starter role on him, in a pressure cooker of a hockey city. But he looks pretty steady out there so far. If he keeps this up, they might move to a 1A / 1B system for starting goalies later in the season.
