Evander Kane had some choice words in the intermission of the Edmonton Oilers vs Winnipeg Jets game where he called out his coach Jay Woodcroft for a lack of playing time.
What I have seen of Kane this season he has been pretty bad. He misses the net on good chance shot, we turns over the puck almost every time he touches it. The rest of the oilers haven’t been much better.
One of the problems with a top heavy contract team, where 2-3 players are getting most of the available Cap money, is that you lack depth, and you need that to win. A team like Vegas does not have players that are making $ 12 -13 mil per year, buy rather have a lot of upper middle players in the $ 7- 8 mil range, allowing to sign and retain depth players. Example — I believe Ayden Hill for Vegas is only making in the 4.5 mil range, and he's good. This makes Vegas a "whole team", whereas the Oilers are a partial team. Just think of what the Oilers would be like without McDavid ?? — they'd be Mc Screwed.
Hard to believe why a player like Kane would be playing less time or in bad standings with his team, coach, fans or anyone. Hes an example of sportsmanship, hard work and good ethics….

Why is anyone surprised? kane has been grenading his own career for years now. I'm more surprised it took him this long to revert back to his old self destructive ways.
Seeing the oilers suck so bad brings me so much joy ( i only hate 1 nhl team) actually i only dislike 1 player on the oilers but it’s enough for me to wanna see them fail

No big deal 1-3-1 so they are going through some adversity it makes the team stronger in the long run.

They should have never moved on from fan favorites like Klim Kostin. The Oilers lack toughness and grit. They are in a world of hurt right now.
