We gotta talk about Ovechkin… :(

We need to talk about the most recent Washington Capitals and Ottawa Senators game, which featured a very tired looking Alexander Ovechkin, and a very healthy looking Josh Norris

  1. since the cup win the whole capitals team has just been on the "get Ovi the record" train and they don´t care at all about being competitive and for me if Ovi breaks the record it just feels very artificial one.

  2. I’m Ovechkins biggest fan BUT……….
He needs to take the off-season more serious. Lower his body fat.
Maybe do CrossFit or something but it’s frustrating watching him most of the time.
I wish he would get a good fitness coach that will get him trimmed up for another 5 years of hockey.
    HE CAN DO IT!!!!

    LETS GO CAPS!!!!!

  3. If I had the call…he would get an “injury” if things don’t pickup and then a serious training regimen that the world has never seen!!!!
Like a boxer getting ready for a big fight

  4. The Craps should have started rebuilding the team years ago starting with getting rid of Ovirated. He´s got tunnelvision on the record and is not doing any good for the team. Time to go.

  5. Caps looked so lazy. I think the team is ok, but they need to step up. Also I would point out that they have a rookie coach. I don't know what kind of a dude this Carbery guy is but at age 41 first head coach gig at NHL level, so hopefully he gets the team playing for him.

  6. Wonder if the Caps would ever trade Ovi to a contender with space (if there is such a team) for futures.

  7. Ovi is too heavy for his age, not able to skate like an nhl player. He is static, sure he will have some goal on power play and in empty net, but not really interesting to watch

  8. You're starting to see the difference between Ovi and guys like Sid & Letang. Ovi was notorious for enjoying his off-seasons while Sid & Letang are fanatical about their conditioning. As a result, Ovi looks to be falling off rapidly while Sid & Letang are still top-tier NHL talents.

  9. As a caps fan, I accepted being a basement team. We got the cup and now the record then we rebuild

  10. When Ovie lost his dad his hair went snow white, he lost his lust for the game, Ovie is about heart hes not a machine, his heart is not in it, he might retire and let the incredible highlights he has left us be his Legacy, he could leave Waynes record alone out of Respect knowing nobody will likely ever touch either of them for 100 years,

  11. No1 really knows what’s going on in ovechkins life or head. His father died then the horrible war started.

  12. Age catches up to you, people will say he's only one year older well that is all it takes is one year and then one more. Look at Tampa, they are an aging team too, not as bad as the Caps but people will say Veselisky* had an off year last year. Which I do no believe, it's that the team he is on has gotten older and isn't as dominant as they use to be so he has to step his game which he really hasn't.
