Not really? I mean how much cap space did we really have this off-season? The Kraken aren’t being cheep, they are restricted by league rules. We have only $2 million in cap space at the start of the season and that goes up to $9 mil at the trade deadline. That’s not a lot of money in cap space. And remember, this is a hard salary cap like the NFL. I would accuse them of being cheep if they were $2 million above the salary floor. Second the FA class this year was one of the weakest in years. Third, the FA class was predicated on if the Leafs blew it all up, which they didn’t.

Nah fuck that. The Mariners are cheap as hell. The kraken just look disorganized and sloppy. They have the talent to pull themselves back together. But they need to overcome whatever their mental barriers are.
