I was unable to watch or listen to the game. It was a much closer game, Nuge with a 3 point night BUT only the big guns really contributed and playing the bottom line for as little as they did seems a waste but with 7 penalties to have a man advantage on it's kind of expected. The first goal by Leon 5 on 5 42 seconds into the game must have blown the roof off. We were all tied up at the end of the second but the boys couldn't get it done. It's two games they SHOULD (on paper) have won and didn't. Time for some completely honest conversations and perhaps a tweak or two but we'll see. Not panicking yet. Great weigh in as always. I really don't understand why the Oilers didn't address their goaltending this past offseason. It was a major issue last season and it looks even worse this season. And their goalie coach absolutely sucks in every way. Fire him.
As a Canucks fan I seen the Oilers as the better team. They only gave up 16 shots. Vancouver just capitalized. They also put 38 shots on net. Vancouver was bailed out by DeSmith. 9 times out 10 Oilers win last night's game.
Oilers D and Goaltending is just terrible. This is no where near a contender team. Yet most of the fans still think treating Koskenin and Larson like garbage was a good idea. wow…
It’s crazy that Nurse is your highest paid Defense man yet arguably the worst one. I don’t know, man. You need better goaltending but your Defense is porous af.
Colorado in 2022 proved you don’t need Vasy-like goaltending if your Defense is elite level and deep.
Canucks fan here. You guys will be fine, but yes, your goaltending needs improvement. I think in the first 2 games, you guys assumed you were playing the same Canucks of the last 7 or 8 yrs.
U guys should have picked up Martin Jones when Toronto put him on waivers. And Nurse is like OEL for Vancouver, massively overpaid imo. But yeah once u get ur defence n goalie situation figured out u guys are good to go.

Other brutal game from 2 and 27. We need a second d man with big experience! The whole team just feels uncoordinated.
The Oilers need to win the next game. It's time to get rid of their goaltending coach because it's been long overdue

Oilers will have problems this year inless they are getting 6 to 8 PP's per game.
