  1. andy has gotta fucking go from the top line, he kills every play, he just doesn’t work with this team at all, no line will be good with him on it

would love them to try something like

    Newhook – Zukes – Caufield

    Slaf – Mony – RHP

  2. CocoKing02

Something is seriously up with Suzuki. Its getting tough to watch

  3. Sentenced2Burn

  4. Beefiest_bison

Me for the past 5 years: Damn when the habs get their special teams together they’re gonna be scary!

  5. ghostfan9

can’t play 15 out of 60 minutes and expect a W. Matheson, Suzuki and Caufield all need to be better. Too many mistakes. PP is literally fucking comical at this point.

  6. Glorious__G

I expect Suzuki’s goal drought to be as long as his iron man streak

  7. Nick suzuki is genuinely embarrassing out there. He needs to get his head out of his ass ASAP. Anyone still think this guy is a 1C??? My ass lol

Also while Slafkovsky has been driving play, hes still incredibly timid in the ozone and not attempting to make plays. Hes passing the puck and turning around and the times he does shoot, its a mile wide…. Look idk if its his mindset or what, but this guy simply doesnt look like he has any sorr of high end talent… 1st overall btw 🤣

  8. BillyShears19

    RHP-Suzuki-Anderson

    Caufield-Monahan-Slaf

    next game please

  9. Petit_Hughie

Hey the Devils are one of the top team in the league. No shame in losing to them the way the Habs lost. It was trial by fire for Primeau and he did alright I think (I didn’t see all the game though).

  10. Suzuki is a prime member of the bottom analytic chart this year

  11. JourneyToArcana

Losing Dach for the year is such a massive blow to the team’s ability to develop. Every line is suffering because he’s not there. Slaf is probably the one who’s most affected. He was building something special with Dach. I hope he finds a way to figure it out on his own.

  12. Oh God, I hate penalties. Game after game, it’s almost the same. At this time, I blame the coach more than players. It’s like the parent is responsible for kids repeated bad acting.
It’s not that hard to minimize the penalties. It’s so dumb !

  13. Pitiful_Stock_4329

I would split up Caufield and Suzuki at this point, would like to see Caufield with Monahan short term at least

  14. ChrisvsWorlds

The 2nd half of a back-to-back against the Devils was always going to be a tough test.

The penalties and the powerplay continue to be a problem. Idk how people expect this Habs team to beat the best teams in the league. We are very unstructured, inexperienced, and undisciplined.

That will need to change before we are ever truly competitive.

  15. Suzuki about to find out real quick how fast you can go from hero to zero in this city.

  16. This game reminded me of a Paul Maurice quote when the Jets lost to the Habs and he was asked to evaluate the game “The team was shit, the coach was shit, I hope the plane is working”

  17. Pitiful_Stock_4329

Cayden came in and played really solid, couldn’t really ask for more from him

  18. crissdecaliss

I know it’s a rebuild, it’s a long process, but in the past couple of games it’s hard to be optimistic about our young forwards. We may lose a lot of games, but at least let’s see some growth. Slafkovsky, Suzuki, Caufield have all been underwhelming. The only good piece in the top 6 right now is Newhook.

  19. douce_abeille

I’m kind of down and it’s only been 6 games but we have to remember *this is a rebuild* and they were facing a really good team. Not every night will be fun and high scoring. Just look at the Devils. It took them a long time to get to that team…

  20. It won’t come as a surprise to anybody that the Devils have significantly more talent right now, and that won out in the end.

I feel bad for Primeau, he was legitimately quite good there, but this team’s defensive play is just not where it needs to be right now so his win/loss record in the NHL is worse than it deserves to be.

Slafkovsky continues to be noticeable in a good way.

The experimentation to try to get the top line going will have to continue.

  21. SatireSqurriel

Suzuki needs to stop fucking playing with Caufield until he can get his shit together

  22. BellePelouse

Primeau was pretty decent tonight, it’s a shame our defense was sub-par even for us

  23. JamSauce42

Why not try splitting up suzuki-caufield? They really haven’t worked well this year

  24. Ok-Sprinkles1644

We need help upfront as simple as that .
Slaf unnoticeable, pezz does nothing , newhook gotta show more ,top line zero consistency !!!
Still have a lot of hope !!! Go habs goooo

  25. CocoKing02

Ill say it again, but Dach on Caufield-Suzuki line is the reason they got to such a hot start last season. Dach on every line makes that line instantly better and his presence is so sorely missed right now. Suzuki has been underwhelming on his own, but pairing them with Andy who’s style doesn’t match him is amplifying it. I miss Dachy :,)

  26. Mtlsandman

Suzuki is doing 95% of the heavy lifting on his line because Caufield is incapable of getting himself the puck and the other teams know this. Anderson is good on the rush but is very bad at maintaining possession in the zone. You need a cycling player with Suzuki, not a perimeter spot picking sniper and a north south horse.

That being said, Suzuki isn’t playing great right now and I’m sure he knows it. Could it be an injury? Possibly, the man has never missed a hockey game since he started in Junior… clearly his iron man streak means a lot to him and therefore he might be playing with a small ailment.

If not, it’s literally game 5… there’s 82 games in a season. The first quarter of the year is a crapshoot across the league. The real stuff starts by game 25. Everyone forgets this year after year but it’s a fact.

  27. Pitiful_Stock_4329

Burrows should get fired, the only reason Matheson scored is because he didn’t do what they always do on the power play (drop it back) Devils PK unit all played super high up on the blue line anticipating it and Matheson burned them.

  28. joeshmoe514

No clue what is up with Suzuki but he looks invisible out there, making sloppy passes, not involved in the play, the whole top line tonight was atrocious, even last night against buffalo, they were getting chances but barely.

  29. King_Frozen9

This team is just unwatchable. It’s like they don’t even practice basic skills. It looks like they have no stick blades in their sticks

  30. Quebecitude

3rd game in 4th night. I liked that they didn’t give up in the 3rd. Enjoyed Matheson hitting Hugues twice!

  31. coincidencecontrol

matheson was a beast in the 3rd.

    primo was solid

    X & Pezz man , real nice
