The San Diego Gulls fell to the Roadrunners 2-1 in a morning contest in Tucson. Trevor Carrick scored the lone goal, while Jaxsen Wiebe registered his first professional point with an assist.
What is the AHL thinking with these field trip games? 10:30am start completely messes up player routines, and listening to this game on radio was terrible. Just children screaming for almost 3 hours for no reason and you could tell Aaron Cooney was annoyed because he could barely get a word in over the screaming. I would have loved this as a kid, but how is it supposed to be educational? Also, can we get Cooney a color guy? Bad loss today all around.
