  1. the refs suck,, stick throw and no penalty? whaa? ,,, , but yea its nice to see a red wings team that can exert their will on a team when they need to with 3 pp goals in the 3rd for the comeback,, then the end of the game happened but still

  2. in my 14 years of watching hockey, I have NEVER seen a worse officiated red wings game. I hope refs are unemployed soon

  3. Husso sucks. Time for everyone to admit it, he's weak as a #1 goaltender. Weak glove side. Weak on goals against. Weak on breakaways/shootout. We would have won with Lyon or Reimer.

  4. The boys just have to put it behind them and move on. Aye, the officials sucked royally. But tonight, the Kraken were the better team. Yeah, they got a boost from the refs. That stick toss was pretty blatant. Seider getting tripped was obvious. Holl getting hooked, etc. But yeah, put it behind you boys, and prepare for the next one.

  5. Ever since 2005, every team in the NHL needs to beat two teams on any given night. Gotta keep the $$$ coming in.

  6. Just to note, Jack is still #1 – 14 pts in 5 games with his 4 assists tonight (That's an NHL record to start a season btw). I'm not a DET fan, but when a streak is snapped for a game like this it stings.

  7. Refs were checking to see if Fischer bit his own lip, that’s why he buried his head in the ice with his hands over his head. Every player and coach knew what he did.

  8. absolutely livid with the refereeing in this "league" throw out the rule book if you are never going to call anything. nhl is a joke… bettman needs to go

  9. Ref told lalonde that they missed it. Why didn't the linesman call it? Anyone can call that down per the rulebook. Absolute trash officiatin.

  10. Lucas Raymond's shot actually hit the shaft of the goalie's stick first, and then rang off the iron. If it isn't deflected like that, all it hits is twine… very very unlucky.

  11. I’m a Red Wings fan, regardless of what the refs do, Husso needs to play better and Raymond needs to score goals and quit being Zadina 2.0

  12. They call the weak hooking on Larkin but not the blatant stick throw?? At least the Calgary game the refs were bad on both sides. They must have had bets on the game or something. This is why refs need to have pressers after the game just like the players

  13. Been watching the Red Wings for 30 years. I'm at a loss for words over the referring. Never saw refs this bad.

  14. You do realize both Larkin and Debrincat are off to the best starts of their careers? Since Larkin is leading his winger in points now, this is his best start including last year's same point totals, 14 points in 11 games, not 7. His next best start is the 18-19 season where he gets 14 points in 13 games. So 23-24 is his best season so far, lets hope he doesn't slow down. Now for the 'Cat, so for him, its the pandemic year, where he takes 14 games to get same number of goals by Feb 15th, right, followed by 2 seasons ago, game number 16, November 17th.

    ps,
    Mr Veleno's 4 goals, 1 assist or 5 points. By the way, that's the fastest for him to 4 goals since last year's 29th game;

  15. usually i would keep watching some games after a Wings game, but the refs have me so mad i just shut it all down. first time ever doing that.

  16. If someone throws a stick, or equipment with a clear attempt to interrupt play, it should be a minor pen. for delay
    There's 2 Refs wtf?

  17. The officiating in this game was TERRIBLE all game, both ways, just horrendous. Glad even neutral fans agreed. No calls on clear penalties, the soft nothing calls… MLB level stuff.

  18. There is no ambiguity in the rule about throwing a stick to break up the opponent's play: it should have been a penalty shot. And just to be sure that players can't get away with it, the rule allows linesmen to call it if the refs miss it. Last night, somehow all four on-ice officials missed it.

There is no way now to know if the Red Wings would have scored on the penalty shot, but the correct call would definitely have prevented the following Kraken goal.
