  1. Wow. Savard is out 6-8 weeks from that, and he stayed out for like over a minute after the initial injury. Unreal

  2. I agree that we need more videos on players that do great defensive plays. I hear about Slavin and Toews that are great defensemen even though they are not flashy and I would like some highlights if possible. Also, now that Bergeron is retired, who are the top candidates for the Selke this season?

  3. Watched this game and my jaw was dropped this entire PK shift. Not to mention the sabres kept the pressure for so long until Habs goalie made the glove

  4. not really, all different sports players take punishment, imagine getting beaned by a 95 mile an hour fast ball as an example, this is just just bias 'cause you're a hockey fan lol

  5. Matthews is not a superstar, he's a hog who only cares about himself ! No wonder Toronto never goes far in the playoffs, it's not a team ! It's a collection of hogs ! AS for Montreal, it's the same story again, pretend all your players are injured to miss the playoffs and get a better pick, it's pathetic and so obvious and YES, I DARE say it out loud ! League should intervene with them and severely punish such behaviour ! I'm not buying it at all ! Dach out for season? like really? WTF? Now Savard 6-8 WEEKS ? wtf? Better not get a real injury or else you'll be out for 50 years !….. Not believing these injuries for a second ! It's the perfect way to circumvent the system !

  6. The words 'superstars' and 'Bedard' don't belong in the same sentence just yet. Not with McDavid & Matthews, or anyone else who has earned it.
The hype might be realized. Maybe. But not yet.
I'm as tired of hearing about this guy these days as I was from hearing about overrated Tkachuk in the playoffs this year.

  7. Out 6-8 weeks, this is starting to be ridiculous, hopefully a defensive prospect will seize the occasion to shine, its true that Savard isn't a true #2 D, but he was our closest thing to it. I wonder who will be called up.

  8. You could have done this video without taking a shot at Sabres fans for the attendance… Money is tight and the Sabres haven't made the playoffs in 12 years…. The organization and team need to prove it before fans will pack the building again. We have been burned too many times.

  9. I totally agree, hockey is on another level when it comes to sports. Not only for the level of toughness and team mentality, but at the end of games in the playoffs they have the handshake line. In any other sport guys walk off and dont have to acknowledge anyone from the other team if they don't want. That's one reason hockey is a great sport in my book.

  10. Go back to Josh Georges! Georges should have gotten a Norris over PK! Pk was fun to watch but an extreme defensive liability! George's covered up a lot of PK's flaws! The Norris should not go to the defenseman in the league it should go to the best DEFENSEMAN! Carlson was what -50 last year, what a joke!

  11. Is it really worth missing two months to block a shot in a regular season game though? Like full respect to him, but idk, that shot might’ve been saved anyways and now they’re missing a top d man for two months…

  12. Hockey is the greatest sport. Those players are warriors…especially compared to Basketball and Baseball athletes 😂

  13. Thank you is all i have to say, and yes please keep sharing those aspects of the game.
In the end they're even more important than the fancy wizzard moves of the Datsyuk successors for more people to come check and enjoy the game as much as we do.

  14. Well when youve missed the playoffs for 12 straight years, sell tickets at stupid high prices, games on a monday and have not had the best start to the season(makes people go 'here we go again') the arena will be like that. I know the monday thing sounds ridiculous but the arena was way more filled Saturday.

  15. Savvy did this many times over the years for us down in Columbus, hope he makes a recovery quickly

  16. I was there I’m from Hamilton and love the habs your right the attendance was horrible more of us habs fans then buffalo

  17. I get this same feeling when I see guys getting stitched up ON THE BENCH. Not to mention at the end of every post season when you get to hear the laundry list of injuries guys were playing with, some so debilitating its wild they can even play, let alone play decent. Hockey players really do just have an extra gear for mental toughness I don't see in other sports. At least, not anymore.

  18. I also love how a player will give up a shot that they could make, to give it to someone who has a better chance.

  19. Anyone that ever played Hockey even beer leagues know the pain of a slap-shot but not at that velocity . He’s a true warrior

  20. some players are just built different. as a fan if you see one of your guys put their body on the line to block a shot, you can't help but love them for what they do

  21. I will never forget Darryl Sydor deagging himself from the corner to lie in front of the net with a torn knee in gm 6 of the 2000 finals

  22. American football is like this the amount of concussions guys go through “for the team” is scary

  23. While I can certainly appreciate the toughness in the great sport of hockey. It's nowhere near the level of violence happening in American football. I'm sorry, there's just no comparison there.

  24. Agreed. Most other sports are shallow compared to hockey. Hope Savard is OK.

  25. If Monahan is part of the “old man line” then I’m an old man too 🙁

  26. Rich Peverley always comes to mind. Dude's heart literally stopped, was revived by medics, and when he regained consciousness, his first thought was "when can I get back in the game?" Dude, you were basically DEAD for a minute.
