OK Guys, the Montreal Canadiens are 6 games into the regular season.. They just suffered a loss last night against the New Jersey Devils and in today’s video I am going to give my biggest concerns about the team right now. Lets talk about it!

If the power play is so awful,then you look at the assistant coach who handles that department. It is not rocket science.
Yesterday we got to see what Elite players are like.
Suzuki and Caufeild are good little players. But not Elite, we need to tank for 3 more seasons. And the drop pass is so predictable they got picked off and thete was a coule close calls. Arber was left flat footed a few times. Pezzetta was there best player
speaking on the powerplay.. if we don't know what we're doing, neither will the other team 😉
they need to replace Burrows ASAP……THIS IS THE START OF THE FIX
Suzuki needs a real top line winger on his right side. The PP needs a real Quarterback and that guy still plays for Boston University. Until he appears in a Habs Sweater the PP will not be great.
Powerplay won't improve until we get a quarterback…cue Hutson. Still a couple of painful years to go.

Habs are waiting on Lane Hudson for the PP
No one expects this team to be in playoff contention. Maybe fighting for a wild card spot and come up short in the last couple games of the season maybe. Depends on further injuries.
I find it quite ironic that the player that everyone is describing that is missing on the first line, we already traded for prospects and picks … he just spanked our asses last night, Tyler Toffoli.
Dare i say, almost everything we as fan are complaining about was self inflicted if you really take a look back at it.
Also, how hard is it to develop a slapper from the blue line, back in the days, Montreal had multiple at the same time, take 2 or 3 defensemen a bucket of puck and have fun 15 to 20 mins after each practice, one-timers and faking shots in particular.
I'm tired of all the stupid penalties. Some games it feels like the refs give us penalties just for the hell of it. We haven't had a decent power play since we lost Markie.
im a habs fan and im all for staying faithful but we are not playoff worthy this season and probably not next season either, I would really like most of our prospects to make the team next year and for them all to play together build up some good chem and then I think we will be playoff worthy but for now I honestly want this season to be over with asap.

Its annoying for me that suzuki can make as many mistakes as he wants but nothing seems to be done about it but then slaf makes even half as many mistakes and he gets even less ice time. Look at Arizona and Chicago. Two equally shit tier teams but they are giving their rookies 20 mins average toi, because they actually want their rookies to progress in a year they know they have no chance at the cup. M St. louis is running the 1st line like they are going to bring a cup to montreal this year without worrying about bungling a #1 drafts development. They started fudging the bucket when they didn't let him play the juniors last year, which could have given him a huge boost of confidence, instead of getting a season ending injury in a meaningless game a few weeks later.
But the Canadiens already have a first overall pick. Since you’re suggesting we should finish last to try to get another one, why not tell Slafkovsky, “You’re going onto the top line with Caufield and Suzuki, and you’re staying on that line for at least 10 games.” If it works, they tank. If it doesn’t work, Slafkovski gets 85 points this season.
It’s St. Louis that runs the power play. I forget which game they mentioned it in but I need everybody to know it’s him. People are going to start to realize in time that he’s not as great as we all believed
Try Slaf on the top line. They need size and speed and he has both
I've said this before and I'll say it again, Suzuki should have never been captain. Gallagher is the last remaining OG Hab from the past decade and is a leader, Suzuki is not. Don't get me wrong I loved watching him from 2019-2021 (especially during that Stanley Cup finals run) but he isn't a leader and is too young.
Montreal has 3 goaltenders that allow 4 goals per game, and a foreward roster thats as fragile as candy glass. We're going to be picking in the top 5 for a few years to come….

St Louis had said during preseason that he's just as much to blame as Burrows for the piss poor pp as they work together on it. Seeing that the Habs 5v5 is looking good, might be time to focus on the man advantage in practice. Predictable is an understatement 😂

The biggest issu in my opinion is that the canadiens get too many penelties
I certainly wasn't expecting the HABS to make the playoffs this season even before the Dach, Ghule, Savard and whoever is next ,injuries…
We are still very much a rebuilding team and I don't think that we will realistically start competing until the start of season 2025.
Regardless, I support this management team and our coach. They are doing all the right things and are being patient.
We HABS fans have to continue to show patience as well and support them until our rebuild is complete.
Indeed we do need more top five picks. Take for example the Pittsburg Penguins 2002 No. 5 Ryan Whitney, 2003 No 1 Marc Andre Fleury, 2004 No 2 Evgeni Malkin, 2005 no 1 Sidney Crosby, 2006 No 2 Jordan Staal. Plus some draft luck 2005 No 62 Kris Letang, 2004 No 61 Alex Goligoski, 2007 No 141 Jake Muzzin. How many cups did these guys win only 3 and 1 final loss. So yeah a top five is needed the next two years minimum.

As for Dach. I think the guy is a train motoring down the track with blinders on. Problem is when this train hits the car sitting in the middle of the track…THE CAR WINS!!! So no more sleeping on the track Dach you're not 100,000 tons of iron that's for sure. Eric Lindros found that one out too late and Dach is not Lindros. This ACL.MCL injury means that he won't live past 30 in the NHL.
I think to write off the idea of the habs fighting for the playoffs after 6 games because of injuries seems premature. Who knows what they'll pull out down the stretch.

Powerplay only has one scoring threat, 4 passers and one shooter is not hard to defend against. P2 scored shortly after Arbie started shooting.
We had an opportunity to have a play as talented as Hughes, but our senior management decided to chose Mr reinbacker … instead of Mith Tchkov what can we do ?
