I think girards play on the stomach wasn’t bad, he took away options and would have blocked a low shot. But then he slapped it away from lehky in a panic rather than identifying his own players stick and it happened to be a lucky bounce for smith. Also they just need to trust justus at some point. Hes only going to start developing into an nhl goalie if he gets opportunities in the nhl. Finally the 3rd & 4th lines SIMPLIFY & chip & chase in the 3rd period. This should have been every line at the start of the 2nd. Its how u beat puck pressure defense. Then u have MacK with an F- effort, causing two goals. When u stubbornly try to ballet dance five defenders at a time without adjustments, u get this game.
