Laurent Brossoit is the sweetest dude ever

Saw the other post about Laurent and Helle in Montreal and thought I’d share my story!
Important context: I work at Spirit Halloween on St James Street, next to the Hockey Life.

Laurent Brossoit is my favourite Jet and has been since I started properly getting into hockey 4 years ago! I have his jersey and the first Jets game I ever attended was one where he was starting. I think he’s awesome.

At work the other week I called the next customer and was like. Gobsmacked. To see him and his partner come up to my till. I told him it was so incredible to meet him because he’s my favourite Jet and that I have his jersey, “but now the number’s wrong.” He laughed and told me I’m probably the only person he screwed over with the number change. I told him I’m just glad he’s back. Reiterated how nice it was to meet him, and he went on his way.

About 10 minutes later, I hear, “Hey Keanna!” and look up to see him and his partner again. He told me it wasn’t every day he meets a big fan and wanted to show his appreciation, and gave me a signed Jets water bottle! His partner said they wanted to get me a 9 to fix my jersey with but couldn’t find one.

Overall it was super sweet of him to come back, especially to give me a present! Totally reinforced why he’s my favourite.

Bonus: 2 days later Adam Lowry came in (last photo). This past Monday, Ehlers was in. And my first year working at Spirit, Laine came in. So if you’re a Jets fan stop by Spirit Halloween and you’re bound to see one LOL.
