  1. The reason so many people criticize the Lions first two picks is because of jealousy and the fact other teams could not get them if Gibbs and Campbell were drafted by the Cowboys everybody would be celebrating This is Detroit time to success we got exactly what we need and the league is very worried about our speed and height. A tall linebacker can see over the tall offensive linemen and better read which hole the running back is going to. last year our linebacker were too short to read the gaps

  2. Being a general Manager is a hard job trading up and down in the draft and calculating positional value understanding the limitation of a 53 man roster and only able to dress 46 players during the games and the 16 man practice squad dealing with injuries and trades. manager of the head coach and if you lose too much you are GONE

  3. Loved the analogy of “playing downhill”. That is truly what the last half of last year felt like 😊

  4. St brown was never a 2nd round prospect, dude was in a "deep" WR draft and he was a guy that I drafted a lot in the 3rd cus he was a late 3rd round grade on every mock site

  5. Both you guys do a great job. Jeff you have become one of my favorite Lions writers/followers EVER and that's going back 40 years of me following the lions extremely close. You have become a must listen too imo as you see things at a deeper level than anyone following the lions today imo. Keep up the great work guys!

  6. I’m still proud of my “1/2 ton of man meat” joke, probably the best joke I’ve had all week. Granted, I’m a dad, so all of my jokes are good, but that one was better

  7. So pumped!!! I always jokingly say “this is the year” every year for Lions! But now I can say it for real!!!! Lions are Bonafide SB contenders!!!! Let’s Go Lions 🦁

  8. Absurd, The two lowest possible values of WAR per position are off-ball LB (Non Rush / poor coverage) and RB. Meaning if we just drafted Adrian Peterson and Mike Singletary we still lose the Draft because we failed to take a chance to get Deion and Bosa. Highest Value Players QBx5, CB, WR, Pass Rush. Even at the highest value those RB, G, ILB players hurt you because they have so little additive value. Even more damaging is that when you have to pay them then you degrade the rest of your team… particularly at the premium war positions. Jack could recover some or all of the value if he covers TE like a boss, but that's not ILB.

  9. What do you do when you have too many good players at one position? You make trades and that's what good teams do, and that's what im looking for from Detroit Lions.

  10. Wait a minute with Van Halen. They blew my mind with the first two records.

  11. Head scratcher why they drafted Richardson in the 1st rd. So yea, you guys are right about that there is no way to install Richardson into the Lions offense. But it's a moot point because the Lions stayed away from moving up to get Levis or Richardson., They knew that Richardson had only completed 53% and had a below 80 percentile classification on the S2 test. Below 80 is a red-flag

  12. Dude do yourself a favor and don't knock on David Lee Roth Van Halen. Those first four albums are mind-blowing and then there's 1984 not one bad song on that album. Sammy Hagar is an afterthought, think about it who thought about Sammy Hagar prior to Van Halen lol!
