I was thinking this actually, both teams are on the rise, But man the Ducks need to stay out of the box

Overall lees shots allowed so there’s an improvement, Leo looks good, this season will be fun even if we don’t win a lot

That Zegras-Carlsson-Terry line is awesome.
Everytime they were on it felt like the other team just froze and was forced to change up their game completely.
They had many scoring opportunities but just didn’t have that “luck” this game. They could have made at least 2 goals from what they created.
They’re going to be very dangerous this season. This is just the second game w Carlsson in that line.
To improve
I think Zegras needs to adjust a bit to Terry and Carlsson.
Zegras missed a lot of shots, at least shoot them within the goal posts (?). He missed some great opportunities that was served to him by Carlsson.
Carlssons game is very quick but if Zegras gets better at reading Carlssons plays they’ll improve a lot.
Carlsson needs to do heavy faceoff training this season.
Zegras can “dangle” but he needs to improve to be able to read to get into these “areas” of the play where he can do that. Otherwise he’s just “wasting” his talent. This game was like he was constantly one or two steps behind.
Terry is just very versatile and great.
When this line “fine tunes” their play with each other they’re going be scoring a lot.
Ducks accumulated way to many penalties in this game. That’s bad if you want to win.
Would be nice if Zegras would try to go for the top left corner every now and then. Three shots all them aimed at the top right corner within like 20 seconds? 😅

Totally agree you. The Ducks are struggling with the game Cronin wants them to play (physical & hard working) and the way the refs want to call these games against us. Although some of our penalties are on us just not executing or making the right decision. Hoping the team can adjust and/or the refs stop making these borderline calls.

Every game so many damn penalties. Cronin needs to throw the rule book at all of them.
The battle of the bottom
You can mock the arena, but it is the best place to watch an NHL game since NO seat is a bad seat. It was a great game, and I did see a few Ducks fans present.
I was really proud of the ducks for beating Carolina in their home opener. I was the watching game on tv and Vitrano is gonna be a huge part of the Duck’s future. When he said they “have the effort, but not the discipline,” what does he mean exactly? Also I didn’t know there was a goal expected stat? How is that figured out? Ducks, Coyotes, Canucks and Flyers are gonna be fun teams to watch and it’d be nice if at least two of them could make a wild card slot to make the playoffs less predictable and interesting
Gudas is a good addition to a garbage team full of miserable assholes that will never make the playoffs
I remember when Gretzky commented on how the Ducks manhandled them as they went 0-7-1 against the Ducks.

As a coyote fan this game was awesome to watch everything about it was good can’t wait when we meet again
If I may I don’t want to send hate to you at all but you can mock the arena all you want call it garbage and embarrassing but let me remind you that every player like mcdavid and mackinnon and Crosby loved the ice and atmosphere Auston Matthews even said post game “felt like the fans were over top of us it was electric”
