    >I also question whether this forward group has enough depth. Jack Quinn won’t be back until at least late December, Victor Olofsson is stuck in a fourth-line role and the prospects in Rochester didn’t perform well enough in training camp to earn a roster spot. Zach Benson will soon be sent back to juniors.

Seems notable that Lance thinks Benson is a lock to be sent back.

theres 82 games, what do you think lol

Yep, too soon. But this team needs to start showing they can play 60 minutes with a consistent effort. That 3rd period yesterday was garbage.

People saying yes… but that slide in November we had last year really hurt us. Starting the season with a slump like that could bury us too

I mean, the first few games were obviously less than ideal. Since maybe the Isles game ( number 2 )it looked like we were back to form and since the Sens game it looks like Thompson and Tuch are back to form. I think we can and will absolutely bounce back and not lose another game this year.

It is early, but it is roughly 10% of the season in

They are proving that they are the same team as last year

Let’s be honest, nobody really knows. We’ve seen this team so far lose to teams that they should have probably beaten, at least on paper, but like last night against New Jersey despite being a loss they kept up with a good team and could have won if they played a bit cleaner game. As of right now the season could go either way and saying that it’s time to panic or too early to panic is nothing more than guessing. There is plenty of time to right the ship but they have to take a hard look at the problems they’ve had so far and address them, if they do that then they could be a playoff team. However, if we get another season where the only attempts at correcting their issues are admissions during post loss interviews of what’s going wrong that are forgotten about by the next morning then they will be in trouble.

Yes, because not only are we losing, we’re also getting outplayed.

Last game against NJ was a better effort though.

It’s early but it is not looking good

Yes Adam’s did nothing to improve this team. We’re just assuming young guys growing will be enough.
