  1. Interesting thoughts, Josh . I would rather Mr. Roy waits, until his seniority kicks in, as this team is going nowhere fast. The fans, which includes myself, should wait until a position opens up for a shot in the Hab's lineup.

  2. I think exactly like you Josh. Why they do not give a real tryout to Joshua Roy for not only 2-3 games but for at least 9 games if he do not make the job you can send him back to Laval.

And this team is so young that I don’t think it will be a problem with the veterans.

If the team win Marty and his coaching staff will be happy and also the veterans. When you win the atmosphere in locker room is always more pleasant and you see a lot more smiles.

go ahead with your good work Josh and Jessy!

  3. If your bringing Roy up it isn’t to play on the fourth line. It’s to get him on the first or second line. You play him two games to see where he is at then send him down if it isn’t working. I’m guessing he is a smart player and if he gets sent back down it won’t hurt him. He’d see what the difference playing on the top line in the AHL is compared to the NHL

  4. People are so quick to ditch RHP from the first line, outside the vet line only one other player did comparatively good in the whole line up, Newhook, once Dvorak takes Newhook place as 2nd but really 3rd center, Newhook could get an other shot at being first line on the wing thats fine, but i see no scenario where rewarding bad performances could result in something good for the Canadiens and Slafkovsky.

Might as well try every 4th liners, Armia, Roy or even Anderson first he has been the plug solution in the past after all, why not Barron he’s almost our top goalscorer with less games played ? The reality is that hole in the first line won’t be so easily filled, otherwise it would of been done already, true first line talent is extremely rare Joshua Roy could eventually work, but he has to prove himself in the AHL first for some reason, why are people so against that Slafkovsky does he same ?

  5. I forgot why Slaf still with the club? He produce nothing make a lot of errors do not shot on goal enough and he is always in the line-up. I don’t understand. Talk with him and make him understand that it will good for his development to go to Laval for a couple of games to play a lot and to find his haunts and shoot the net more often and rebuild his confidence. J-F Houle and his coaching staff at Laval are good with young players development. And by the way Hans should send back Cayden Primeau to Laval. If they lose him on waivers it's not the end of the world, other very good young goalkeepers will go on waivers this season. No ?

  6. Will playing in the NHL improve Roy's skating? Rush him a create another DROUIN? Is it worth it in a year with no expectations?

  7. Markov’ s number needs to be retire , most underrated player in habs history of not nhl . Guys made bellow average money most of his career , gave some players at a career( komisarek for example) was always serious as there were no reason to laugh as he knew his team was garbage , put up amazing points and there were never a problem on the pp with Markov , he rank 2nd in history for points by defensemen in habs history only behind Robinson .

The way bergevin discarded him was disgusting , how is Markovs number not retired?🤦‍♂

  8. roy is a center, and play maker, putting him on the wing would definitely hurt him
I'd put roy on the 1st line with caufield, and send suzuki on the 2nd line
    monahan – roy – caufield

  9. Roy to the top line? I think I read that somewhere in your comments section before by a really smart guy.

  10. Slaf should be sent down for more time in the a h l to help him get better.

  11. Michael Matheson's salary is $6,500,000 and his cap hit is $4,875,000 for the 2023-24 season. Hardly free.
