Just an off night all around, it happens.
Bet we look much better against Boston
This feels like the longest stretch of games we’ve seen Marner struggle to look like the player we know he is capable of being. He only has 3 even strength points through 9 games. He hasn’t looked dominant in a single game this season to my recollection so far. He has to turn it around.
After reading the PGT, here’s the predominant takes:
Keefe got outcoached and is too stubborn
Marner has been unbearable ever since becoming an $11 million player
Both of these are correct
Matthews has just one goal in the last seven games.
Did he get confused and think we were back in the playoffs?
Marner stresses the importance of the Leafs focusing on themselves amidst the boos tonight and says he thought the team actually did well in preventing the Kings from moving the puck to the middle of the ice during that shift at the end of the second period.

I’m still of the belief we need a different head coach. Keefe has no clue what he’s doing. Refusing to split Matthew’s and marner at this point when marner is struggling is just insane. Keefe sucks and needs to go
I had to turn it off after the second period. I was too upset. One of the worst efforts I’ve seen in a long time. The team just didn’t look motivated to give a fuck at all. Just a frustrating game.

Instead of trying Marner with Tavares he doubles down and puts Nylander on the top line as well.
It’s total incompetence at this point.
Said we shouldn’t have Marner and Matthews on the same line back in preseason/early reg season and got backlash for it here.
