I mean we knew it would happen, he had the best drawn penalties in the league with normal penalties given and mid way theough last year they decided “no”

Take a guess. 10% less? Ok. 40% less? Too coincidental. He’s an asshole regardless of his sweater. Bias is real.

How about max domi? Holy fuck that guy is a penalty machine this year.

The lights shine bright in TO and even the refs want in on the action

Last season he only had 10 PIMs in his first 10 games. Heck even ’21-22 he only had 6 in his first 10 games. Wasn’t until later in the season he racks up the minutes.
Much to small a sample size, means nothing at this point.

Bunting, 8pts 8pim in 10 games
Bertuzzi 3pts 12pim in 9 games
Bunting is $1m less in salary.
I know it’s early and hopefully Bertuzzi gets his shit together, but this is looking like a downgrade in every way so far.

The Toronto double standard for the NHL is undefeated. We get scrutinized like an NFL team while everyone else gets the advantage of bush league Bettman treatment

I don’t want to discount the fact that I’d be way more afraid of Rod the Bod than dorky Sheldon. Bunting is probably on his best behavior now that he’s playing for a good coach.

When one player plays with more of an edge than everyone else on the team they’re going to stick out like a sore thumb and get called accordingly.
A team like Boston that has everyone playing on the edge makes it hard on the refs because a lot of shit they do is questionable. Refs can’t call everything and it leads to the refs turning a blind eye for the sake of game management.

If you dont think the Leafs are reffed differently, that teams dont get motivated differently to play them or that the Leafs are treated/viewed the same by players, player safety, officials the same as every other market…… You must be new to the sport/market
