  1. Woodcroft is too soft and holds players to zero accountability, perfect night to bench Bouch in the third with 7 D dressed
I argue you all the day the Nuge line was good they got owed in the second period in their end and didn’t get burned but the first 2 shifts of the 3rd the puck was in the back of their net.
    Hollands trade deadline is now
I was less pissed off when we were losing because of effort now we are simply just beating ourselves
Connor or no Connor same story this team as it’s constructed will continue to lose
There isn’t a guy in the bottom six with a f…,. point not a single f….. point
    Enough said

  2. They're losing to shit teams! If they were losing to powerhouse teams, that would be one thing but they haven't played a single game yet against any team you'd call a contender.

Vancouver, Nashville and Philly didn't even make the playoffs while Winnipeg and Minny were both punted in the 1st round. What the hell is this team gonna do when it has to go up against some real competition?

So I included some stats for the Wild just so you could see a bit of the disparity between teams. The Wild had more shots, hits, penalty minutes, giveaways, takeaways, and blocked shots. Yes, all of that isn't good (penalty minutes, giveaways) but, especially in the third period, they dominated. The Oilers have been outscored 10-1 in the third period this season. This was, in a word, PITIFUL. The D collapsed a LOT. This was a game I'm glad I couldn't watch and only got highlights. For those wondering I'm quite medical and they shut us down early. That's why I don't watch or listen to a lot of games. Hope you enjoy the stats (kind of like saying I hope you enjoy that long slow root canal). Take care all.

  4. I don’t even know what the defensive system is this year. Are we playing let’s leave a man open all the time? I didn’t watch the game last night but after watching this, I see that it is the same issues we have been having all year. Just get a man and stay with him. Minor hockey players even know that.

  5. Not sure why anyone believed Campbell and Skinner were going to be good enough to win this year. The D is amongst the worst in the league. It really is.

The narrative from other NHL players and coaches is weak D, bad goaltending. That’s a fact.

Last year they out scores their problems early. The PP won them games. This team is in trouble. I’ve been saying it since day 1 of camp. My question is why the heck no one else can see this?

  6. Not the same chemistry as last year. They look confused. Lots of turnovers and not capitalizing on powerplays

  7. I cannot listen to any more excuses. We take a lot of time out of lives, not to mention money, and these millionaires are not producing while other teams do. It is so disheartening! I feel for you Patrick.

  8. Just hard to even know what to work on because EVERYTHING IS AWEFUL… The only highlights I see are good starts to games, Campbell looks pretty good despite being left for dead night after night and couple guys with good work ethics like Hyman and Foegele….

  9. Oilers need to learn how to play defence. I don't really think it was Cambell's fault. No NHL goalie can save the Oilers from playing like this.

  10. I’m not even watching games anymore. Not wasting time. I live in Ontario and record most games, but when I see the post raw expressions on their faces, saves me 3 hours. So brutal! I’ve been saying it for a couple of years and when they traded Barrie….don’t invest in Bouchard! Anyone can QB this PP, we need dmen in our zone that know how to play. Woodcroft will be gone by Dec 1 if this continues.

  11. Got up at 3 AM to watch – thought they would be focused and motivated to prove that they are good enough even without 97.
    But nothing.
The D took a night off and the coach decided to put 3rd liners on the first line to balance things out to 4 average lines at best.
Bouch should have been on only for the PP and take role of 7th D for the rest of the game.
They need a coach who is able to get those individuals to form a team. A coach who is not afraid to sit any player who takes the night off.
How could any chemistry develop if the lines change all the time.
Moving Nuge to 3rd line center in one game ???
Janmark suddenly 1st line capable ???
4th liners who play for 2 minutes and 97 and 29 playing more minutes than a 1st line D man ???
No wonder they run out of gas in the third.
They should know by now that overplaying their top players does not help to get the rest of the team going. We have seen this for years now.
The rest of the team has to sit on the bench and hope that 97,29 bail the team out playing double shifts.
This shows there is no trust in the rest of the team.
And the cheat code 97 29 + X might work on PS4 or XBOX
but here this makes the oilers strategy so predictable.
The opposing teams basically just need to prepare one strategy
    stay out of the box
and clog up the net until 29 and 97 run out of gas.
And the D is not even a problem since those guys are daydreaming during gametime of things they need to buy next from their signing bonuses 🎉😮

  12. Holland failed to add to last years team…Kostin was big character guy and should have kept him and trade Ceci and let Yanmark go if needed.this team needs 2 dMenAnother shooter for bottom six and some toughness, Sorry but I think we dont make playoffs with this team just to soft and no defense IMO we are 31st in Leaque wow..let the tank begin
