as a 40+yr Leaf fan (i know insanity defined) what has disgruntled me about any Leaf team over the years is…effort.. i can handle losing (im use to it) however, effort is expected by Leaf fans..effort and losing..no problem…but games like last nite (and hundreds over 40yrs) is unacceptable. Leaf management charge mortgage payments for tickets and we have to watch the crap we witnessed last nite.. i thought Reaves was suppose to be a catalyst,? a table setter?…whatever…he had 1 hit and 1 fight in the 1st game of the season and zip since..makes sense. i turned the game off after a period and a half…all i ask as a Leaf fan is for them to SHOW UP!!!!!.
Leafs need to stick with Woll. Just cause he “loses” a BS game like that he shouldn’t be punished with the pine.

Leafs fans are absolutely insufferable
Leafs had no interest in this game, long overdue for a coach with a spine. Getting your team ready to play when they might otherwise have their minds on what they're doing afterwards and holding them accountable if they don't show up is one of your main jobs. Sheldon "I tried nothing and am out of ideas Keefe." has to go. Should have been fired when he lost the play in round to Columbus and admitted he didn't know what he was doing. Hell they should have fired him after that HBO special aired and we saw him crawl to Kyle Dubas to ask what he should do with Matthews because Matthews gave a meaningless throwaway line in an interview he didn't like.
I know it gets said a lot, but it’s crazy how Byfield gets better every game.

I think last night's game is proof that the Leaf's standing's in this week's power rankings was way too high. I was surprised you had them higher than the Rangers. Hopefully we'll see them dropping by a few.
As a leafs fan, things are just as toxic as ever over here. A good start to the season and after 1 bad game all the comments are calling everyone to be fired/every player is trash ect that I'm used to but kinda fed up with at the same time

As poorly as the Leafs played and as well as the Kings played, the referees didn't exactly help Toronto's cause last night.
Normally, I'm not one to criticize the officials when Toronto loses, but they made a couple of incredibly questionable calls in that game – In the First Period, Brodie gets a penalty for cross-checking Kempe, yet about five seconds prior to that, Kempe did the EXACT same thing to Jarnkrok and didn't get a penalty! When Bertuzzi got his tripping penalty in the Second Period, he barely tapped Laferriere's THIGH with his stick and Laferriere went down – how Laferriere didn't get a diving penalty is beyond me. As is the case (at least it always seems like it) that the more questionable a penalty is, the odds that the opposition is going to score on the ensuing power play seem to increase exponentially and, true to form, Kaliyev scored to give LA a 3-0 lead. Given the way this game was being played by both teams up to this point, I pretty much knew that the game was effectively over.
