My father and I got so tired of SN’s Toronto bias, we muted the TV and used the Radio from Boston to listen. Inner peace was achieved. No longer were we hearing only MATTHEWS MATTHEWS MATTHEWS! MARCHAND SHOULD BE SUSPENDED 12 GAMES FOR BREAKING LILIGRINS SPINE! Instead, we heard “so. Do you think the Bruins will finally get a power play in the third?…*literally 10 seconds of silence*yes…” then when the Bruins finally got a power play “oh, wait. It’s finally happened, Bruins are going to the Power Play” and my personal favourite “I believe Matthews hasn’t won a single face-off tonight…” in time for the other host to laugh at that idea. It’s great. Was about 20 seconds behind play…but, still.

After watching your vid, I have to completely disagree with you about the 1st period. I think we were really sloppy, lots of bad turnovers and although statistically it may not have been terrible, I thought Leafs looked better. I thought we got completely screwed on the 2 whistles and the terrible missed call on the Marchand interference that would’ve been a 5-3. And in terms of goalies, maybe Hellybuck is in the convo although off to a tough start and I wouldn’t really trade either of our goalies for anybody at this point. It’s just working
I felt like the D without McAvoy was being purposefully held outside or at the offensive blue line for most of the game really holding the scoring chances back. Love the Poitras jersey, but man I hope he doesn’t keep 51 as his number.

In that goalie naming exercise you did, the goalie that wiulsnt come to mind for ya was Connor Hellebuyck. Not saying he is better than 1 or both, but he is in that tier.
It’s hard to give marchard the benefit of the doubt and you don’t guys go head first into the boards the way lilgren did every play
Great video from a Bruins fan POV. (Come in peace I'm a Leafs fan). This is where I gotta disagree with you on the Liljegren-Marchand play in the boards. We agree that Liljegren initiates contact first right. In my opinion you have to brace for contact so you're not careening head first in the boards. Marchand swiped for the puck with his stick but that's Marchand's mistake as he got Liljegren leg instead. Which constitutes my definition of a slew foot. As he was irresponsible with the the stick and that's something we have some common ground on. I don't know about a suspension but I do think a fine is coming for him considering Liljegren's out long term. Best of luck this year.
