More disappointed in the lack of response after Lily went down than the loss

  2. DeathEater91

If Reaves isn’t going to hit or fight anyone, get fucking rid of him.

This team is still soft as shit and does nothing.

Bench Bertuzzi and call someone else up.

Hopefully Sammy knows he played great last night and doesn’t let the loss effect him too much.

  3. secks_see_guy

I would like to see some rough stuff from them once in a while

Especially after your buddy gets cheap shotted

    Grow a backbone ffs

  4. booomdynamite

This game proved once again, we’re soft and don’t have any sort of grit push comes to shove.

  5. NewScotlandWanderer

Starting David Kampf in overtime when we have the talent we do is a fireable offence.

  6. Dirty plays happen. I’m not mad at Marchand, I know he’s a fucking rat.

I’m mad at the Leafs players. Every single player on that team should’ve been fighting to get over the boards to kick his ass.

The core guys think Reaves is supposed to do everything for the team. Wrong. Would I have like to see him fight or take a dirty run at Pasta? Yes. However the real issue as its always been is this team has 0 comradrey and it’s essentially every man for himself.

If you want to know the real reason ROR left, last night is a prime example. It was never about the media. There’s a bunch of self entitled losers on this team and he wanted no part of it.

They hit and fought for 2 games then Sheldon told them to stop. It’s the only explanation that makes sense. Every year it’s the same thing. We get tougher, the new guy comes in and plays tough for a few games, something happens behind the scenes, we wonder why it stops, and they stop defending themselves/each other so they can try to call scoreboard.

That is endemic of a regular season culture instilled into the identity of this team. We turn tough players soft. That’s how bad it is.

  8. I’m pretty upset about Liljegren. They didn’t help him get up, get off the ice, and let it all go unanswered. Pretty poor behaviour all around. It was a great game which we lost but the cost was way too fucking high.

  9. CanadianGuy39

Every single guy we signed is awful so far. They will turn it around a bit, but I can’t imagine a worse start.

Lily update? I assume broken leg/ankle, but what have we heard?

Pleeeaassseee fire Keefe. He should have never been re-signed in the first place.

  10. 0nlyRevolutions

    Every new signing is underperforming

1 year contracts for Domi/Bert/Klingberg so we can dump whichever of them don’t turn it around, but the season is doomed if they don’t get better

Reaves… like everyone else: what is he doing? What’s the point? Why is he doing mid game interviews and chuckling about how he makes everyone feel taller, and then proceeding to do nothing when our player gets hurt? Like I actually DO get that he can’t just walk on the ice and fucking run someone (suspended) or start a fight against an unwilling opponent (instigator penalty and we lose the game). But if he can’t even get involved enough to land a few clean hits he should be in the AHL.

We have too much money locked up for Kampf who is a 4th line player

We have too much money locked up for Jarnkrok who has regressed so far

Top line earned us a point, but I think people are right to ask for more from them WHEN WE’RE NOT CHASING THE GAME. This team is way too talented to ALWAYS be 2 goals down in the first period.

Sammy was good and I don’t mind keeping the tandem rolling. But we still have 2 goaltenders that have historically never had a starter’s workload over a whole season (without injuries).

  11. jokerjoust

I’m still livid by the response (or lack thereof) of the Leafs to the Lilly play/injury. Reave’s yapping, Bertuzzi grinning and chuckling and Tavares, our Captain, a complete mute, as usual.

But honestly, did we really expect different this year? Same core, same coach, same stapling on of “complimentary” pieces of players on short term, prove it deals, that essentially do nothing.

This team over the years has had so much talent on paper, but have shown us that generally they don’t have heart and are spineless.

  12. Samurai1221

Overall pretty damn even game. Disappointed with the lack of response, how tf does Keefe not send reaves out when marchand stays on for another shift? Pretty annoying first goal to let up too. Klingberg doesn’t take the stick or the body, meanwhile Carlo is manhandling our guys in front of the net lol.

  13. AustonsCashews

Well. With the Calgary signings last year and our awful acquisitions in the offseason, Treliving ain’t it.

  14. Jhool_de_nishaan

I hope McCauley gets Gonorrhoea from his brother in law

  15. madworld2713

Sammy played great. Leafs as per usual were soft as baby shit. I’m just flabbergasted and embarrassed at the lack of response from the Liljegren play. And our new signings? Good god in heaven we might be in for a rough ride.

  16. Ancient_Contact4181

Whos getting called up to replace Lilly?
