Should The Edmonton Oilers Trade For Lias Andersson? | New York Rangers Trade Rumours

In today’s Oilers discussion, I look at the question “Should the Edmonton Oilers trade for Lias Andersson”? Andersson requested a trade from the New York Rangers yesterday, and has previously been linked to the Oilers.

  1. I don’t see any upside in reclamation projects like this for Oilers.
Until the farm system proves itself to be capable of turning prospects to nhl players.
Ethan Bear, Jones, Khaira. Aside from that. Who on Oilers was drafted outside first round and developed by Oilers.
Oilers have helped chase two first rounder to Europe, and only properly developed three kids so far.
Just stay in own lane, don’t go sniffing around other teams cast aways.

  2. No.

We have our own projects or legit prospects we don't need someone else's issues . The Oilers need a legit Top 6 Winger that skates and hits and can finish . Then a legit Back up goalie as the wheels have completely fallen off for Smith .

  3. If its not going to cost to much yes why not but seens like ken is not worried about the oilers if we make the play offs fine if we dont fine

  4. I’m with you on this one Tyson. I think Puljujarvi is worth more, but I could be wrong, I’d have to see Andersson play and see what he’s got to bring to the table before Id make a decision.

  5. No. Oil needs nhl ready wingers not a circus. No JP either. Nuge shouldn’t be fed left overs

  6. Why would someone else have to be included in the Andersson for Puljujarvi trade? Why would another team add something else to the prospect for prospect trade? This is a perfect example of how Edmonton fans way over value their players over other players with the same trade value?

  7. It sounds like he feels he is somehow more entitled then his stats support just like pulijarvi though he was drafted very high and it went to his head. I think an attitude assesment is definitely warranted in both cases.
