  1. That team was more fun to watch. We had the sniper in Kessel, young blood in Rielly and Kadri, tough guys in Orr and McLaren, and good supporting cast like Lupul, Gabrovski, McArthur.

I get it but please don’t forget this team sucked ass.

  3. God damn I miss kadri. I also miss kulemin and grabo. 🙁

This team sucked butt, but god damn all likeable losers.

All the best teams have both what these guys had and what our current players have. Kucherov jumped Rielly for a clean play in the playoffs and when Marchand does a scummy thing no one jumps to Liljegren’s defence. But make no mistake the truculence era was so so bad. They tried to build a core around a bunch of support players lol.

Kadri wasn’t a 1C, but was one of the best 2Cs in the league and a major reason why the Avs won a cup

Kessel wasn’t a franchise player, but he’s able to be a great sidekick on a top line in the league and win back to back cups.

Phanuef wasn’t a number one defender, but when he was a number three in Ottawa they made the ECF.

Bozak wasn’t a 2C, but when he was a 3C in St. Louis they were able to break their curse and win a cup.

You are so far off the fucking deep end. Were you even alive for this team? Cause you seem to remember it differently than I do.

Kadri’s proven selfishness as a Leaf makes this to be an odd observation.

  7. Back when the Leafs were feared. Horrible times for me (Habs fan) lol

Fuck. Naz got his cup, and played a big role in the playoffs. Bozak got his cup, also had a solid role. Kessel got 2 of them, was a beast. I’m going to freak out if we don’t sign Willy, cause wherever he goes, they’re going to win.

If you guys are longing for this team, we are well and truly fucked.

Do I want the team I like to have camaraderie while also consistently being at the bottom of the league, or do I want them to have the opposite of camaraderie but actually good at hockey and able to win games? I’ll take the good team each time, even if they’re too soft for my liking usually

That was my first and so far only Leaf game in Ottawa and it was one of the best nights of my life

“Nazem Kadri cost us playoff runs” – every single no nothing dipshit in Toronto

You know what’s better than one Ryan Reaves doing nothing? Two Ryan Reaves doing nothing!

    2×0=0.

I watched this game in a Philadelphia bar. Bartender put it on the screen for me and gave me a couple free beers to celebrate the W. Great night in a great city.
