  1. I thought the young man asked excellent questions. I thought the other reporters did a very good job. The questions were respectful and leading, you gave Torts the opportunity to answer.

  2. This was a pleasant surprise. I'm happy for Belpedio. Slogging it out for 300 games in the A and finally scoring in the majors is good for him and us.

  3. Buffalo played horribly. Their own crowd was booing them. If you watched the game, you know that. We played well, but we were very fortunate Buffalo played so awfully. I worry people that don’t understand the game will start saying ridiculous things like “Trade Hart” … but I’m sure some will. it’s one game, kids. I love this team, but be realistic. Best game? That’s just insane and stupid and wrong.

  4. From the top down from GM to Torts to the team, this is the most transparent and honest team I have seen in 25 years of following the Flyers. Yes there will be losses but even with those L’s this team is fighting hard every period of every game and even though they will still struggle you gotta have the utmost respect and pride for this team right now.

  5. Torts is really maturing as a coach. In the past (hell, even last year) he would be ripping everyone to the media after the last several games. Unfortunately, Torts getting better as a modern coach may hurt the team in the long run by stunting a rebuild. As much as I have bucked against the idea of a rebuild, the longer we put it off means the longer the cycle of mediocrity continues. I really like most of our players, and this is the best side of torts i've ever seen….but I just don't see the light at the end of the tunnel. The ceiling on this team if literally everything fell in place is 8th seed getting bounced 1st round in 5.
