Kurashev has no business being out on the ice during the 6 on 5.
I love Richardson, but this coaching staff needs to really reign in Jones. He throws everything off. He is hurting this team more than helping…peroid.
Get a PP without dumping the puck in or losing it immediately to a dump before you do anything…
I know the Blackhawks are in year one of a rebuild and we are lucky to have Bedard. But holy shit. Between the Bears, Blackhawks and Bulls we are in for a long winter from a sporting perspective.
So we obviously suck, nothing will change that and it’s by design, but if we could just play the young guys more and give them all the opportunities to score and have fun and try to win games, I think losses like these would be so much easier to stomach. But we aren’t doing that, and we haven’t all season. We had plenty of chances to tie this up but we simply did not put our best players out there when we needed them most.
Why in the actual fuck are Reichel and Korchinski, two of the most gifted offensive players on this roster behind Bedard, riding the pine for the last several minutes of the game while 90-year-old Perry/Foligno/Johnson getting all the 6v5 icetime? Why are neither of those young guys allowed to ever see a second of PP1 time, even when we are down late and desperately need a goal and our powerplay has been consistently dogshit as currently structured?
It’s getting ridiculous. Just play the kids and let them run wild – who gives a fuck if you lose at that point. Look what Savard did with Toews/Kane and maybe take some notes.
Constantly underperforming, not scoring, and playing weak lineups is not how we are going to develop these guys.
Story of the season is baffling coaching decisions. The powerplay, the 6 on 5, the powerplay. Like there’s an NHL coach who thinks it’s okay to have Foligno and Perry and PP1. And Jones looked off Bedard about 7 times tonight. That’s grounds for sitting in the press box.
Bad game. PP sucked, the last-minute 6 on 5 was pathetic😢
If you were at the UC, you saw Seth Jones breaking his stick in frustration after the game was over. If you were at the UC, you didn’t see the same level of frustration and indignation while the game was still up for grabs. That’s your 9.6 mil/year defenseman. Enjoy.
Oh, almost forgot. Wyatt Kaiser should not be allowed to play hockey for the Chicago Blackhawks.
I wish we could see the closed door players only meeting and Perry yelling at Seth Jones.
Still haven’t seen a full 60 min effort since Game 1. I also don’t really understand not putting in a fresh player like Katchouk on the second game of a back to back, but whatever.
The first power play will not work as long as Seth mans the point. His indecisiveness drives me insane – always takes the extra half second to do anything and it’s a second too long. Give it to Korchinski and let him run wild.
