Spineless Leafs will never have success with this core 4 and this management group. Shanahan needs to be relieved of his responsibilities. Changes are needed asap. Id rather have Holl than Klingberg.

It’s actually no surprise Keefe shuffled the lines. Why wouldn’t he do so considering that it’s about time for more members of the roster to step up or be kicked off this team.

I love what I have seen from Gregor, Klingberg has been an absolute nightmare…He looks so awkward out there, everytime he touches the puck he gives it away trying to make so dumb dainty little pass.
Shanahan needs to go as well Keefe, he gets out coached every game his strategies don't work, but he keeps doing it. Do you forget against Tampa last year. The same play entering the zone didn't work, but he kept doing it they won by luck. What happened when they played Florida out coached. Every game, they collapse to the net, and still no one picks up the man, drives me nuts. They give up 2-3 break aways a game dies no 1 see this

Klingberg needs to he traded. Youve got robertson down there that could be a chip if you arents going to play him. Otherwise id put knies with tavares and nylander, gregor with matthews and marner and line three id be going bertuzzi holmberg domi. Dont care if youre on your off side, the defense is brutal this year. But im almost thinking bring jones up for a start or a backup to woll and trade klingberg and samsonov. I love sammy but toronto market is eating him alive. Anyways if this doesnt work keefe needs to go unfortunately

Actually it was the Sabre's 3rd game in four nights.
The Leafs are exactly where they were last year. They need Marner to find his game, when he does the Leafs will win most nights. Until he does the team will be trash. It was exactly the same last year. And the year before that, and the year before that and the year before that. People claim he isn't worth his salary but the Leafs are a lottery team without him. They are barely a playoff team when he struggles. What does struggling Marner look like, 1.18 ppg. It is almost like defense wins games and paying players who can't defend a lot of money is a mistake.
Marner gave it to Thompson. Nothing about Matthews brutal pass? Really? Why would Matthews pass the puck to Marner was Thompson was right on top of Marner?
Keefe is a buffoon with a horrible history. He should have never been hired and he was only extended because Treliving put team politics ahead of winning. The time to fire Keefe was when… well he never should have been hired, but when Bruce Cassidy became available he should have been fired. Dubas would never hire a guy like Cassidy because he isn't a yes man.
Klingberg needs to be played with a guy who is a defensive rock. I mean a Rod Langway quality guy. This is Gardener all over again. Offensively gifted, defensively horrible, needs to play with a solid defender, that the Leafs don't have. Nylander's stock is at an all time high, trade Nylander to get that.
Lack of defensive effort. Keefe has a long history of rewarding players who ignore their defensive responsibilities. Why would anyone defend?
Marner, Matthews and Knies has to be the shutdown line. It is the playoffs against the Canadiens again.
Lightning. This should be an easy W for the Leafs with Vasilevskiey out but there is no reason to have any confidence. I have visions of Nylander and Klingberg on the ice against the Point line, the two of them standing around doing nothing while the Lightning put on a scoring clinic.
