Sebastian Aho knee on knee with Adam Fox – Have your say!

Adam Fox is now out long term with a leg injury following this incident with Sebastian Aho. Rangers captain Jacob Trouba wondered after the game why Aho didn’t feel the need to “answer the bell” and fight for causing an injury. There was no penalty on the play.

Should Aho have been penalized? Should he have been suspended? Should he have had to fight? Have your say!

  1. Aho didn't move …..he braced himself for the hit ….cheap shot in my book……the puck was no where near Fox…..should have been a penalty….. Aho will be taken care of the next time they meet….

  2. Accidentally on purpose! Pretty obvious if you pay attention and watch his guilty dive afterwards.
He could have avoided the collision easily but he chose not to and clearly blocked Fox with his right leg.
Hence, the Rangers lose their best defenseman for at least a month.

  3. Puck is nowhere close, fox tries to avoid the contact at last second cuz he didn’t realize that aho could possibly be stupid enough to try and hit him there. Aho makes no attempt to avoid contact absolutely unacceptable

  4. Let me ask a question:

Did anyone from the Rangers retaliate on Aho?

If not, why not? Is it because they are a bunch of pussies, or because they thought the hit was not dirty?

  5. Aho was clearly trying to set a pick, and Fox tried to matrix him. Nothing dirty whatsoever, but maybe it could have been 2 for interference. And that's a hard maybe because it looks like Aho stops prior to the "knee," so technically, I guess you could say he didn't actually initiate the contact and it wouldn't be interference. I honestly don't know, I'm still in lacrosse brain mode where non-moving picks are legal.

  6. Only Rangers fans see intent here. When going in a straight line , when is it up to a player to jump out of the way on another barreling in on him ? Can you see Trouba moving away to avoid a contact, hell no, he would have planted the other player and Rangers fans would be cheering. Unfortunate that an excellent player gets hurt, but Aho is not that type of player and perhaps had it been Marchand type of player it would make the area grayish.

  7. Canes came to NY knee hunting…. Look at Stall attempt to knee Trocheck with 12:50 remaining in the 3rd. Vince was lucky, Fox was not. Canes know exactly what they are up against this season and set out to cripple NYR….. Jan 2nd 💪🔵🔴⚪️💪

  8. When Fox tried to avoid him, Aho made sure his right leg made contact. If you look in slow motion look how the distance between Aho's two legs gets bigger. He definitely tried to make contact with his right leg. It should have been a penalty. Carolina was throwing illegal checks and illegal use of the stick all night. The two referees should be suspended pending a review. Referees have an obligation to ensure the checks are clean. These two referees are obviously not qualified to work in the NHL.

  9. Absolutely a penalty, clear interference. Ill give aho the benefit of the doubt that he wasnt trying to injure him or knee him, but he did step into the path of Fox for seemingly no reason. After watching it a few times aho pretty much stops in the path of Fox and shifts his body weight into that right leg right as fox collides with it. Its hard to say if he was trying to just lay a shoulder into him or just bump him off course, but it ended up being a knee on knee. I didnt see any clear extension of a leg so i dont think it was an intentional knee on knee from Aho, just an attempt to interfere with Fox on his path to the net.
